Princess Road and Princess Close - Temporary Traffic Prohibition
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(PRINCESS ROAD AND PRINCESS CLOSE,
MARKET WEIGHTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed along the entire length of
Princess Road and Princess Close, Market Weighton.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
carriageway resurfacing/footway works, to be carried
out and completed in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that
the works will be completed by 15 July 2024.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order
is via Hawling Road, Southgate and Princess Road.
The road will be open at all times to pedestrians and
for vehicular access to properties directly affected by
the closure and for emergency services. The Order
will commence 17 June 2024 and continue in force
for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until
the works which it is proposed to carry out have
been completed, whichever is the earlier. Further
