What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(THE GREEN, BARMBY MOOR (PART))
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order
the effect of which is to prohibit any person from
causing any vehicle to proceed along part of The Green,
Barmby Moor between the junction with A1079 York
Road and Green Side. The reason for the closure is
to enable the proposed Yorkshire Water works, to be
carried out and completed in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that
the works will be completed by 18 August 2024.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order
is via York Road, Main Street, Beck Side and Back Lane.
The road will be open at all times to pedestrians and
for vehicular access to properties directly affected by
the closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence 18 June 2024 and continue
in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or
until the works which it is proposed to carry out have
been completed, whichever is the earlier.
