What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1532

LONDON ROAD SOUTH, LOWESTOFT

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

1. The B1532 London Road South Lowestoft from London Road, Pakefield to Kensington Road

2. The B1532 London Road South, Lowestoft from Rectory Road to Cliff Road

This is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

1. the B1532, the A12, the B1532 and vice versa.

2. (Northbound) Rectory Road, the B1532, the A12, the B1532 and no vice versa.

(Southbound) the B1532, Mill Road, the A12, the B1532 and no vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 18/06/2024 -20/06/2024 from 8pm - 5am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A1117

NORMANSTON DRIVE, LOWESTOFT

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A1117 Normanston Drive, Lowestoft from the junction with the B1375 Gorleston Road for 100 metres eastbound to facilitate a telecommunications pole renewal. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1375 Gorleston Road, B1074 Somerleyton Road, the A1117, Peto Way, Normanston Drive and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 16/06/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
