What is happening?

Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole Council (BCP) Section 116 and Schedule 12 of the HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 (as amended) NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STOP UP HIGHWAY

AT Land at the rear of 12 to 14 Cambridge Road which served the former Cambridge Road Depot, Bournemouth

Notice is hereby given that BCP Council, the Highway Authority, intends to apply to the Poole Magistrates Court for an Order that the part of the highway described below be authorised to be stopped up on the ground that it is unnecessary. The application is to be heard on the 7th August 2024 at 11.10am in the Local Justices Area of Dorset at The Law Courts, Park Road, Poole. The effect of the order sought will be to prevent all traffic over the land to be stopped up, as shown, for the purposes of identification only hatched black on the attached Plan.

A copy of the draft Order and Plan may be inspected free of charge at the Civic Offices, Town Hall, St Stephen's Road, Bournemouth during normal office hours from the date of this notice until the date on which the application is made.

Any person to whom this Notice has been given or who uses the highway specified or who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order may appear before the Magistrates' Court to raise an objection or make a representation on the application.

Any person intending to appear before the Magistrates' Court at the hearing of the application is requested to inform Andy Norwood at BCP Council Civic Centre, Bourne Avenue, Bournemouth, BH2 6DY or by email andy.norwood@bcpcouncil.gov.uk before the 7th August 2024 quoting reference PLT0016.243/PSS

SCHEDULE Description of land to be stopped up

The part of the highway to be stopped up is the land at the rear of 12 to 14 Cambridge Road which served the former Cambridge Road Depot, Bournemouth more particularly shown by the hatched area in black on the attached plan.
