What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all users: Restricted Byway 4 (Part), Hindon; from its junction with Bridleway 3, Hindon to its junction with C25 to enable clear fell of ash dieback affected trees along Restricted Byway at risk of causing public nuisance and or potential injury to persons/damage to property. Alternative route via C25 -Bridleway 3, Hindon for pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders and vice versa. No alternative route is available for horse and carriage. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 01 July 2024 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 21 July 2024. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) C64 (Part), Fovant; from its property known as Bakers Cottage to its property known as Hazelwood. B) C276 (Part), Fovant; from its junction with Sutton Road to its junction with Sling Orchard to enable Wessex Water to carry out sewer improvements and associated works. Alternative route A via C64 (unaffected length) - Mill Lane - C276 - C317 -A30 - C64 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Alternative route B via C276 (unaffected length) - C317 - A30 - C64 - C276 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation with Phase A commencing on the 01 July 2024 and ending the 05 July 2024 and the phases will run consecutively on weekdays, Phase B will be a rolling closure starting the 08 July 2024, the closures will be required 24 hours once in place until 12 July 2024. D) C323 (Part), West Dean; for a distance of approximately 20m either side of the level crossing to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out works at Dean Station level crossing. Alternative route via C323 (unaffected length) - Coach Road - East Tytherley Road - East Dean Road - C323 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 03 July 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 23:30 and 05:30 until 05 July 2024. E) C336 (Part), Alderbury; from its junction with Shute End for a distance of approximately 150m in an easterly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out sewer pipe repairs and associated works. Alternative route via C336 (unaffected length) -Folly Lane - C324 - C336 (unaffected length) and vice versa. F) Share Lane (Part), West Tisbury, Sedgehill and Semley; for a distance of approximately 20m either side of the centre of share bridge to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out bridge arch pinning and associated works. Alternative route via Share Lane (unaffected length) - West Hatch - East Hatch - East Hatch southeast to Hazeldon - C61 - Share Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 01 July 2024 and the closure will be required 24 hours a day once works have started until 12 July 2024. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: G) C24 (Part), Teffont; from outside its property known as Ley Barn for a distance of approximately 500m in a north easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out poles and associated works. Alternative route via C24 (unaffected length) - C276 - B3089 - C24 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 10 June 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

(b) Byway 12 (Part), Amesbury; from its junction with Byway 10, Durrington / crossing the A344 over to its junction with A303 (T). (c) Byway 12 (Part), Amesbury; from its junction with A303 (T) in a southerly direction to its junction with Byway 1, Wilsford cum Lake. (d) Byway 1 (Part), Wilsford cum Lake; from its junction with Byway 12, Amesbury to its junction with Byway 11, Berwick St James. (e) Byway 11 (Part), Berwick St James; from its junction with Byway 1, Wilsford cum Lake to its junction with Byway 16, Woodford. (f) Byway 16 (Part), Woodford; from its junction with Byway 11, Berwick St James to its junction with A360, Druids Lodge. (g) Byway 11 (Part), Amesbury; from its junction with A303 (T) in a southerly direction to its junction with Byway 2, Wilsford cum Lake. (h) Byway 2, (Part), Wilsford cum Lake; from its junction with Byway 11, Amesbury to its junction with Footpath 3 at Springbottom Farm, Wilsford cum Lake. (i) Footpath 4, Durrington, from its junction with the A345, to its junction with Fargo Road. (j) Fargo Road (Part), Durrington; from its junction with the A345 to a point 300m north at Woodhenge. And to introduce a temporary No Waiting at any time restriction on the following lengths of road: (k) A360 (Part), Winterbourne Stoke; from its junction with A303 Longbarrow Roundabout to its junction with A344 (Airman's Corner). (l) A360 (Part), Winterbourne Stoke; from its junction with A344 (Airman's Corner) in a westerly direction towards Shrewton for a distance of approximately 1 kilometre. (m) B3086 (Part), Winterbourne Stoke and Shrewton; from its junction with A360 / A344 (Airman's Corner) in a northerly direction to its junction with The Packway (Rollestone Crossroads). (n) Fargo Road (Part), Durrington; from its junction with the A345 to a point 300m north at Woodhenge. (o) C42, Stonehenge Road, Amesbury; from its junction with West Amesbury Road to the A303. These Orders are made to ensure public safety during the period of the Summer Solstice at Stonehenge. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. Sections (a) to (h) will come into operation at 08:00hrs on Monday 17 June 2024 and is expected to remain in force until 12 noon on Sunday 23 June 2024. Sections (i) to (j) will come into operation at 08:00hrs on Friday 14 June 2024 and is expected to remain in force until 12 noon on Sunday 23 June 2024. Sections (k) - (o) will come into operation at 18:00hrs on Thursday 20 June 2024 and is expected to remain in force until 12 noon on Sunday 23 June 2024. The Order for sections (a) - (i) will have a maximum duration of 06 months. The Orders for sections (j) - (o) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ACT 2004
1. THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (SALISBURY) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING, TAXI RANK CLEARWAYS AND ON STREET PARKING) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2013 (AMENDMENT NO.32) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order 1 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the Traffic Management Act 2004 the effect of which will be to amend the restrictions in the Salisbury Consolidation Order 2013 the effect of which will be to revoke Map Schedule Nos. IJ82 and IK82 dated 11 February 2013 and replace them by the insertion of revised Map Schedule Nos. IJ82 and IK82 for administrative purposes.
2. PEDESTRIAN CROSSING - CHURCHFIELDS ROAD, SALISBURY
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 proposes the installation of a Zebra Crossing on the following length of road: Churchfields Road, Salisbury from a point 5 metres east of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 13 and 14 Churchfields Road to a point 19 metres east of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 19 and 20 Churchfields Road. This pedestrian crossing will replace any existing restrictions currently in force in the city of Salisbury. Deposit copies of the Order, plans and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Salisbury Library, Market Walk SP1 1BL during the hours of 10am to 7pm Monday, 9am to 7pm Tuesday and Friday, 9am to 5pm Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday until 1 July 2024. Notice is hereby given that on 29 May 2024 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be as follows:
Order 1 - To revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, East Chisenbury in The Parish of Enford) (Restricted Roads) Order 2001 and to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of road: UC 55001 Coombe Lane Enford - from its junction with C32 in an easterly direction to the boundary of the property known as 45 Coombe Lane; C32 Longstreet/Avon Valley Road, Enford and Fittleton - from a point 21 metres north of the property known as 26 Coombe, Enford to a point 21 metres north of the tank crossing in Fittleton; C32 Avon Valley Back Road, Enford - from the property known as Meadow View in a southerly direction to the property known as New House Farm.
Order 2 - To revoke The County of Wiltshire (C32 Longstreet to East Chisenbury, Enford) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2015 for administrative purposes only and to revoke The County of Wiltshire (C32 and Coombe Lane, Enford and Fittleton) (30mph Speed Limit) Order 2022 and re-enact it in part to take account of the 20mph speed limit above in Order 1. A copy of the Orders and plans may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Any person aggrieved by the Orders and desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Orders will come into operation on 10 June 2024.
