Temporary Overnight Closure of A351 Valley Road - Corfe Castle, Worth Matravers & Langton Matravers

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation overnight between 20:00 and 06:00 from 20th June 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 28th June 2024.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.

[1] To impose temporary road closure on A351 Valley Road - Corfe Castle, Worth Matravers and Langton Matravers from junction with the private access road leading to Wilkswood Farm to junction with B3069 Kingston Hill (in both directions), a distance of approximately 3950 metres. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections. Please note the closures will be in operation, as and when indicated by signs on site. Advanced warning signs will be placed on the road two weeks advance of the closure to indicate the exact dates the closure will affect the roads.

[2] To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along A351 Valley Road - Corfe Castle, Worth Matravers and Langton Matravers from junction with the private access road leading to Wilkswood Farm to junction with B3069 Kingston Hill (in both directions), a distance of approximately 3950 metres. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

It will come into operation on 17th June 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 1st July 2024.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.

The County of Dorset (Various Roads, Bridport) (20mph Speed Limit) (No. 6) Order 2024

Dorset Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. When the Order comes into operation on 14 June 2024 the effect of the Order will be to introduce 20mph limits along sections of roads in Bridport (plans of locations can be found on the webpage, details below).

Notice of Modification Order Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 Dorset Council County of Dorset Definitive Map and Statement of Rights of Way Dorset Council (Footpath from A357 Newton Hill to Footpath 36, Sturminster Newton) Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2024

The above Order, made on 3 May 2024, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding to them a Footpath in the parish of Sturminster Newton as follows:

Footpath 104, Sturminster Newton:

From its junction with A357 Newton Hill at ST 78421353 south south west along a surfaced path passing the northern boundary of properties known as The Chapel and The Chapel Annexe at ST 78391351 continuing south west to the north western corner boundary of the property known as The Mount at its junction with Footpath 36, Sturminster Newton at ST 78351350. The width varies: 5 metres at ST 78421353 narrowing to 3 metres at ST 78391351 and narrowing to 1.5 metres at ST 78351350.

A copy of the Order and the Order map may be seen free of charge at Reception, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester during normal office hours. Copies are also available on our website at www. dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/row-orders.

Temporary Closure of Barrowland Lane, Toller Porcorum

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along BARROWLAND LANE, TOLLER PORCORUM between its junction with High Street and its junction with Shatcombe Lane, a distance of approximately 2100 metres.

The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation between 0700 and 1900 on 08 June 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 14 June 2024.

This Order will enable Amberon Ltd and SPL to carry out in-situ recycling carriageway treatment.

An alternative route will be signed using: Shatcombe Lane - C133 -A356 - Toller Lane
