What is happening?

SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL

20 MPH SPEED LIMIT TRAFFIC ORDERS

Notice is hereby given that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL made the following Orders under the relevant sections of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce 20 mph speed limit as follow:

ST/TRO/Abbey View Road (Various Roads, Swindon) (Speed Limits) Consolidation Order 2022 (Variation No. 1) 2023

20 mph speed limit on Abbey View Road, Branksome Road, Lulworth Road, Poole Road, Barton Road, Boscombe Road, Cheddar Road, Barbury Close, Foxhill Close, Baydon Close, Wickdown Avenue, Charlbury Close, Combe Road, Lewisham Close, Fernham Road, Pembroke Gardens. ST/TRO/Old Shaw Lane (Various Roads, Swindon) (Speed Limits) Consolidation Order 2022 (Variation No. 3) 2023

20mph speed limit on Old Shaw Lane, Magnolia Gardens, Randall Crescent

ST/TRO/Cheney Manor Road (Various Roads, Swindon) (Speed Limits) Consolidation Order 2022 (Variation No. 5) 2023

20mph speed limit on Cheney Manor Road (from the junction of Vicarage Road to the junction of Akers Way), Aubrey Gardens, Manor Gardens, Cheney Place, Harvey Grove, Brooklands Avenue.

ST/TRO/Stanton Fitzwarren (Various Roads, Swindon) (Speed Limits) Consolidation Order 2022 (Variation No. 15) 2023

(Stanton Fitzwarren) 20 mph speed limit on Avenue Road, Trenchard Road, Mill Lane, Hossil Lane and Church Lane. All orders will be operative from the 10 June 2024.

A copy of the documents for the Orders may be inspected online at www.swindon.gov.uk/trafficregulationorders. If you wish to question the validity of the Orders, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, you may, within 6 weeks from 5 June 2024 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
