What is happening?

PUBLIC NOTICE
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (B4211 New Street, Upton Upon Severn) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Order made: To close that part of B4211 New Street from its junction with U61240 Backfields Lane to its junction with U61204 Mill Lane.
Reason: Replacement gas mains by Cadent Gas.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: C2099 New Street, A4104 Old Street, A4104 Tunnel Hill, A4104 Welland Road, A4104 Drake Street, B4208 Garrett Bank, B4208 Garrett Bank to Danemoor Cross, C2099 Hook Bank, C2099 Upper Hook Road, C2099 Mill Lane and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 33 days (24 hrs). Commencing: 10 June 2024.
(U63447 Halfkey Road, Malvern) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Order made: To close that part of U63447 Halfkey Road from its junction with U63454 Kinnersley Road to its junction with U63452 Beverley Way.
Reason: Remedial works by Cadent Gas.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: U63447 Halfkey Road, U63452 Beverley Way, U63453 Westward Road, U63454 Kinnersley Road and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 days (24hrs). Commencing: 12 June 2024.
(U61206 Hyde Lane, Upton Upon Severn) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Order made: To close that part of U61206 Hyde Lane from its junction with C2099 Upper Hook Road to its junction with U61205 Tiltridge Lane.
Reason: BT pole replacement by HSC Worcester Ltd.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: C2099 Upper Hook Road, U61205 Tiltridge Lane, U61206 Hyde Lane (part) and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day Commencing: 12 June 2024.
(C2260 Madresfield Road, Malvern) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Order made: To close that part of C2260 Madresfield Road from its junction with B4208 Pickersleigh Road to its junction with U63242 Delamere Road.
Reason: Footway reconstruction by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: B4208 Pickersleigh Road, B4211 Barnards Green Road, C2260 Madresfield Road and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 8 days between 12 June 2024 and 21 June 2024.
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) (Waterside (East of High Street) Upton upon Severn) (Experimental Prohibition of Driving (Except for Access) Order 2024
On 23 May 2024 Worcestershire County Council made an Experimental Order which will prohibit driving on the following length of road in Upton upon Severn:
Waterside, (East of High Street) from its junction with High Street, eastwards for a distance of 65 metres. The Experimental Order will come into operation on 13 June 2024 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months.

The Experimental Order has been made to allow an assessment of the effect of the Order before a decision is taken to make it permanent. If you wish to object/ make representations about the Order being made permanent you must do so in writing to me at County Hall or email roadtrafficregs@worcestershire.gov.uk; by 13 December 2024 specifying the grounds on which they are made.
