What is happening?
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(KNOWSLEY EMBANKMENT, KNOWSLEY LANE, MOOR ROAD, HEATH CHARNOCK AND PARSONS BULLOUGH ROAD, ANGLEZARKE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle (except for event participants) from proceeding over the lengths of highway specified In this order
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over the following lengths of highway in the Borough of Chorley;
i. Knowsley Embankment, Heath Charnock from its merging with Knowsley Lane for a distance of 118 metres in a westerly direction.
ii. Knowsley Lane, Heath Charnock from its merging with Knowsley Embankment to its junction with Parsons Bullough Road.
iii. Moor Road, Heath Charnock from its junction with Knowsley Lane for a distance of 130 metres in a westerly direction.
iv. Parsons Bullough Road, Anglezarke from its junction with Knowsley Lane for a distance of 810 metres in a easterly direction.
2. The prohibition will be operative daily 0700 hours to 1500 hours on Wednesday 12th June 2024 until Thursday 13th June 2024 or until completion of the filming.
Access will be maintained via marshal points for residents and businesses at all times.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to enable filming on the highway.
