D355 Three Arch Road, Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 05 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D355 Three Arch Road, Redhill that is crossed by the “Three Arch Road Railway Bridge” and for a distance of 20m either side.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Centurion/ Network Rail to carry out brickwork repairs and/or examinations and/ or maintenance works to the railway bridge.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 10pm and 5am, within 4 nights of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 June 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times under direction of a marshal.
Vehicular diversion route: – Eastbound – Three Arches Road, Horley Road, Brighton Road, Bonehurst Road, Balcombe Road, Smallfield Road, Weatherhill Road, Chapel Road, Rookery Hill, Dayseys Lane, Green Lane, Axes Lane and Masons Bridge Road.
Westbound – Masons Bridge Road, Axes Lane, Green Lane, Dayseys Lane, Rookery Hill, Chapel Road, Weatherhill Road, Smallfield Road, Balcombe Road, Brighton Road, Bonehurst Road, Brighton Road, Horley Road and Three Arches Road.
Access for equestrians will be maintained via the equestrian diversion route: –
Three Arches Road, Horley Road, Brighton Road, Honeycrock Lane and Masons Bridge Road.
D2613 Woodfield Lane, Ashtead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
On 05 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D2613 Woodfield Lane, Ashtead that is crossed by the level crossing and for a distance of 10m either side. The Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable Network Rail/Centurion to carry out inspections and/or maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out in phases within 7 nights and 2 days of the 12 month period of operation of the Temporary Order which commences on 11 June 2024; between the hours of 12:30am to 5am on 11 June 2024, between the hours of 10pm on 09/08/24 to 4pm on 10/08/24, from 10pm on 10/08/24 to 8am on 11/08/24, from 10pm on 11/08/24 to 5am on 12/08/24, from 10pm on 16/08/24 to 4pm on 17/08/24, from 10pm on 17/08/24 to 8am on 18/08/24, and from 10pm on 18/08/24 to 5am on 19/08/24.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
There is no alternative route for traffic however access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Ladbroke Road (D336) Horley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 05 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ladbroke Road (D336) Horley as extends from its northern junction with (A23) Bonehurst Road eastwards for a distance of 30 metres.
Alternative Route – A23 Balcombe Road; A23 Brighton Road Northbound); A23 Bonehurst Road; Crossoak Lane; Orchard Drive; Langshott; and Ladbroke Road.
The Order is required to facilitate new mains electrical connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of UK Power Networks within the length of road described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried over 4 days between the hours of 9am and 6pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 18 June 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure area and all traffic including residents and the emergency services will be required to us the signed diversion. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Philanthropic Road (C222) and Hooley Lane (C222) Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 05 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Philanthropic Road (C222) Redhill and Hooley Lane (C222) Redhill that is crossed by the rail over road bridge numbered “RTT 24” also known as the “Hooley Lane Railway Bridge” and for a distance of 20 metres to each side.
Alternative Route – Hooley Lane; St Johns Road; Woodlands Road; A23 Brighton Road (Northbound); A23 Marketfield Way; A23 Redstone Hill; and Redstone Hollow.
The Order is required to allow bridge inspection works and/or bridge maintenance works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Network Rail within the length of road described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 1 Night between the hours of 10pm and 6am within the 18-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 23 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site, all other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected.
Linkfield Street (D1265) Redhill Temporary Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Unloading Order 2024
On 05 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles on both sides of the carriageway in that length of Linkfield Street (D1265) Redhill from a point in line with the common boundary between property No.18 and No.20 Linkfield Street and to a point in line with the common boundary between property No.20c and No.22 Linkfield Street.
This Temporary Order is required to facilitate safety works for, or on behalf of Network Rail.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 10am and 6am during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 17 June 2024.
This temporary restriction, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs.
Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).
London Road (A217) Reigate
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 05 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of London Road (A217) Reigate that is crossed by the level crossing known as “Reigate Level Crossing” and for a distance of 15 metres either side.
Alternative Route: (A217) London Road, (A217) Reigate Hill, (D1210) Raglan Road, (A242) Croydon Road, (D1216) Rushworth Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate track safety maintenance works for, or on behalf of Network Rail.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 nights, between the hours of 11pm and 5am within the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 17 June 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained via the overhead walkway. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Church Road (D1343) Warlingham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 05 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Church Road (D1343) Warlingham as extends from its junction with (B269) Limpsfield Road to a point in line with the common boundary between No.11 and No.13 Church Road.
Alternative Route: Church Road, Ward Lane, Crewes Lane, (B269) Limpsfield Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to carry out excavation works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 7am and 7pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 18 June 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Bluehouse Lane (D444) Limpsfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 05 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Bluehouse Lane (D444) Limpsfield which extends from its junction with Water Lane (D445) to its junction with Park Road (D494).
Alternative Route – Water Lane (D445) and Park Road (D494) or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 June 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Crowhurst Lane (D419) Crowhurst, Lingfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 05 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Crowhurst Lane (D419) Crowhurst, Lingfield which extends from (a) the southwestern property boundary line of “Little Haydon Farm” to the northeastern property boundary line of “Oaklands” and; (b) its junction with Crowhurst Lane (D419) to its junction with Caterfield Lane (D408).
Alternative Route – Caterfield Lane (D408), Pikes Lane (D408), Crowhurst Road (D408), Lingfield Common Road (C87), Ray Lane (B2029), Tandridge Lane (C83) and Crowhurst Lane End (D419) or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 11 June 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Cormongers Lane (D1263) Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 5 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Cormongers Lane (D1263) Redhill which extends from its junction with Nutfield Marsh Road southwards for a distance of 100m.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing works and/ or major maintenance works as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 June 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
Alternative Route – C67 Nutfield Road, D1171 Manor Road, D1171 Albury Road, C69 Bletchingley Road, C69 Pendell Road, C69 Little Common Lane, A25 Castle Street, A25 Bletchingley Road and D1263 Cormongers Lane.
Sandcross Lane (D1298) Reigate
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 5 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Sandcross Lane (D1298) Reigate, between its Park Lane East and Prices Lane.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be carried out between 7am and 7pm, as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 11 June 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. East Hill Lane (D366) Copthorne
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 5 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of East Hill Lane (D366) Copthorne which extends from the southern property boundary of Jane House to the southern property boundary of The Firs and any parts thereof.
This Order is required to enable SES Water to facilitate new water connection works and/or water works, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 8.30am and 4.30pm, during the 12month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 June 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road will be maintained at all times by road plates.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained via a walkway. Due to nature of the works and the narrow width of the carriageway, access for emergency service vehicles will not be maintained.
There is no diversion route possible for this closure.
Horsham Road (A24) Beare Green
Temporary 30mph Speed Limit Order 2024
On 5 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to – (a) impose a 30mph speed limit, on both the northbound and southbound carriageway of Horsham Road (A24) Beare Green, that length of which extends from the junction of Old Horsham Road to the junction of St Austells Place and any parts thereof; and (b) suspend the Order imposing a 50mph speed limit on the length of A24 Horsham Road as specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate embankment works and/or repair works near Bregsells Bridge, which is anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 June 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary speed limit will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
The speed limit imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 or in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.
Oxshott Road (A244) and Oaklawn Road (C131) Leatherhead
Temporary (Suspension) Order 2024
On 5 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to suspend “Surrey County Council (Various Roads in Oxshott, Cobham, and Leatherhead (Experimental Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 2023”, as amended, only insofar as it relates to – (a) that length of Oxshott Road (A244) Leatherhead as extends from its junction at the roundabout with (A243) Kingston Road to its junction with (C131) Oaklawn Road; and (b) the entire length of Oaklawn Road (C131) Leatherhead.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate major maintenance works being carried out on or near the said roads, which is anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 June 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and to the extent indicated by those signs.
Blackberry Lane (D412) Lingfield and Blackberry Road
(D412) Felcourt Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024
On 05 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Blackberry Lane (D412) Lingfield as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “The Laurels” to its junction with (D412) Station Road; (b) the southern junction of Blackberry Road (D412) Felcourt as extends from its junction of (D412) Blackberry Lane and for a distance of 110 metres in a north westerly direction along Blackberry Road; (c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Blackberry Road (D412) Felcourt Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in Part (b) of the Notice.
Alternative Route: (1) Blackberry Lane, East Grinstead Road, (B2028) High Street, (B2028) Town Hill, (B2028) Racecourse Road, Dormans Road, (C90) High Street, and Station Road, or this route in reverse; (2) Felcourt Road and Blackberry Lane, or this route in reverse; (3) Blackberry Road and Felcourt Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8.30am and 3.30pm within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 18 June 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Bug Hill (D1358) Woldingham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Bug Hill (D1358) Woldingham which extends from its junction with Woldingham Road (C72) to northward for a distance of 250m.
Alternative Route – Bug Hill (D1358), Leas Road (D1348), Redvers Road (D1348), Westhall Road (B270), Narrow Lane (D1357), Succombs Hill (D1390), Woldingham Road (C72) and Bug Hill (D1358) or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow UKPN to carry out utility works, which is anticipated to be completed within 9 days, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 24 June 2024.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road in specified above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road or for preventing such danger from arising and/or preventing damage to the road.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times. All vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Tandridge Lane (C83) Tandridge and Tandridge Lane (C83)
Lingfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (1) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tandridge Lane (C83) Tandridge and Tandridge Lane (C83) Lingfield as extends from (a) its junction with the access to the properties known as “Old Hall Farm”, “Meadow Lodge”, “New Barns”, “Meadows Edge”, “Old Hall Farm Cottage” and “Chathill Cottage” to its junction with the southern access to the property known as “Chathill Park Farm”; and (b) its junction with (D419) Crowhurst Lane End to its junction with Public Footpath No.245a Tandridge. (2) suspend “The Surrey County Council Tandridge Lane (C83) Lingfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it affects those lengths of road specified in parts (1)(a) and (1)(b) to this Notice.
Alternative Route – Tandridge Lane; The Common; A22 Eastbourne Road; Miles Lane; and Tandridge Lane or this same route in reverse.
This 12 Month Order which commences on 01 July 2024 is required to allow new mains water connection and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of SES Water within the lengths of road described in this notice.
The works in part (1)(a) to this notice are anticipated to commence on 01 July 2024 and will be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8.30am and 5.30pm.
The works in part (1)(b) to this notice are anticipated to commence on 22 July 2024 and will be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30om.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All vehicular traffic including residents and the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Sutton Lane (D281) Abinger Dorking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of: (a) Sutton Lane (D281) Abinger Dorking; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Sutton Lane (D281) Abinger Dorking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety.
Alternative Route: Abinger Lane, Pasture Wood Road, and (B2126) Horsham Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of Freeflow Traffic Management. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Redehall Road (C67) and Wheelers Lane (D361) Smallfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 26 June 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
Alternative Route – Redehall Road, Broadbridge Lane, Weatherhill Road and Redehall Road.
Schedule
1. that length of Redehall Road (C67) Smallfield which extends from its junction with Weatherhill Road to its junction with Bridgeham Way;
2. that length of Wheelers Lane (D361) Smallfield which extends from its junction with Redehall Road to its junction with William Gardens and any parts thereof.
Frenches Road (C224) and Linkfield Lane (C224) Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway reconstruction works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 24 June 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

- that length of Linkfield Lane (C224) Redhill which extends from its junction with London Road to its junction with Hurstleigh Drive and any parts thereof.
- Alternative Route – C224 Linkfield Lane, A25 Station Road, A25 Queensway and A25 London Road;
2. that length of Frenches Road (C224) Redhill which extends from its junction with London Road to its roundabout junction with Ladbroke Road.
Alternative Route – D1261 Ladbroke Road, A23 Princess Way, A23 Marketfield Way Roundabout, A23 Princess Way and A23 London Road.
Highfield Road (D1405) Caterham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Highfield Road (D1405) Caterham.
Alternative Route: (B2208) Croydon Road and (D1405) Tillingdown Hill, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate telecom utility works for, or on behalf of TSE Group. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Burntwood Lane (D1402) Caterham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Burntwood Lane (D1402) Caterham as extends from its junction with (C227) Whyteleafe Road to its junction with (X68533) Brambles Close; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Tandridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2023” insofar as it affects the length of road specified in Part (a) of this Notice.
Alternative Route: Burntwood Lane, Buxton Lane, Matlock Road, and Whyteleafe Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate highways improvements and/or maintenance works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council and Yunex. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday only, within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the signed diversion route.
