The Garstang New Road - 30mph Speed Limit Order
What is happening?

THE GARSTANG NEW ROAD (30 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 09346363) has made the above-mentioned Order, under Sections 84(1)(a) and (2) and paragraph 27(1) of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on Garstang New Road (formerly the A585 Trunk Road), in the District of Fylde, in the County of Lancashire.
The effect of the Order, if made, would be to impose a 30 miles per hour speed limit on the following sections of Garstang New Road (formerly part of the A585 Trunk Road).
The eastbound and westbound carriageways, from its junction with Pool Foot Lane (Singleton Junction) to a point 689 metres east of its junction with Pool Foot Lane (Singleton Junction) a total distance of 689 metres.
This Order, if made, will revoke any and all other speed limit orders affecting the lengths of carriageway described above.
The speed limit will not apply to any vehicle being used for emergency purposes by the police, fire and rescue authority, or ambulance services, or to special-forces vehicles. A copy of the Order and Notice, together with a Plan and a Statement of Reasons may be inspected during normal office hours by visiting the Kier Highways Main Compound, Garstang Road East, Poulton-le-Fylde, FY6 7SX; or by application to National Highways, Operations Division, Piccadilly Gate, Store Street, Manchester M1 2WD making reference to this notice.
