What is happening?

NATIONAL HIGHWAYS

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE A585 TRUNK ROAD (SKIPPOOL TO WINDY HARBOUR) (NO WAITING RESTRICTION) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 09346363) intends to make the above-mentioned Order, under Sections 84 (1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A585 Trunk Road in the Districts of Fylde and Wyre in the County  of Lancashire.

The effect of the Order will be to impose No Waiting At Any Time on the following lengths of carriageway:

i.    A588 Breck Road Service Road on its north side, from a point 100 metres east of the junction with Breck Road (A588), to a point 150 metres east of the junction with Breck Road (A588);

ii. A585 Mains Lane in both directions, from its junction with Shard Road (A588), to its junction with Garstang Road (A586).

This Order, if made, will revoke any and all other no waiting orders affecting the lengths of carriageway described above.

The no waiting will not apply to vehicles being used for emergency purposes by the police, fire and rescue authority, ambulance services,  or special-forces.

A copy of the Order and Notice, together with a Plan and a Statement of Reasons may be inspected during normal office hours by visiting the Kier Highways Main Compound, Garstang Road East, Poulton-le-Fylde, FY6 7SX; or by application to National Highways, Operations Division, Piccadilly Gate, Store Street, Manchester M1 2WD making reference to this notice. Any person wishing to object to the Secretary of State’s proposal to make this Order should send a written statement of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director, Operations Division, National Highways Limited, Piccadilly Gate, Store Street, Manchester M1 2WD, making reference to this Notice, to be received no later than Friday 28 June 2024, or within 3 weeks of the date of this publication, whichever is the latest.
