Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
A274 Biddenden Road & Shenley Road, Headcorn, TN27 9JA (TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED REDUCTION & ONE-WAY ORDER) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Kent County Council intends to make an order to restrict the speed limit to 30mph on A274 Biddenden Road, Headcorn from 5th July 2024, for up to 3 days. A one-way order is also required on Shenley Road, Headcorn during this time to allow for the Battle of Britain Air Show to take place at Headcorn Aerodrome.
A temporary mandatory 30mph speed limit will be imposed on A274 Biddenden Road, Headcorn, between Smarden Road and Bell Lane.
A temporary one-way order will apply on Shenley Road, Headcorn. The restrictions will be in place between A274 Biddenden Road and White House Lane.
This takes effect on 5th July 2024, for up to 3 days, during the Battle of Britain Airshow.
These restrictions are required for the safety of the public and event attendees while the Battle of Britain Air Show at Headcorn Aerodrome takes place.
B2079 Goudhurst Road, Marden (30MPH SPEED REDUCTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2079 Goudhurst Road, Marden, on or after 19th June 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be restricted from Marden Primary Academy and the Pumping Station. A speed limit of 30MPH will be in place. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
B2163 Heath Road & Charlton Lane, West Farleigh (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow signage and lining works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2163 Heath Road & Charlton Lane, West Farleigh, on or after 4th July 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of B2010 Lower Street and Upper Barn Hill, works on B2163 Heath Road are to be carried out between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 only.
The alternative route for any through traffic on B2163 Heath Road is via B2163 Ewell Lane, B2163 Lower Road, B2010 Lower Road, Dean Street, B2163 Heath Road and vice versa.
The alternative route for any through traffic on Charlton Lane is via B2163 Ewell Lane, B2163 Lower Road, B2010 Lower Road and vice versa.
B2163 Teston Road, Teston (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow roadworks to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily impose a mandatory 30MPH speed limit on through traffic on part of B2163 Teston Road, Teston, on or after 5th July 2024 for up to 50 days or until the works have been completed.
The speed limit will be imposed between the junctions of A26 Tonbridge Road and B2010 Lower Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Battle Lane, Marden, TN12 9DE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow new water connection to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Battle Lane, Marden, on or after 19th June 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Summerhill Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Battle Lane, B2079 Maidstone Road, Howland Road, Battle Lane and vice versa.
Chapel Lane, Bredhurst, ME7 3JY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chapel Lane, Bredhurst, on or after 4th July 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Forge Lodge, between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dunn Street Road, Dunn Street, Lidsing Road, Forge Lane and vice versa.
Chart Road, Chart Sutton, ME17 3RB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chart Road, Chart Sutton, on or after 17th June 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Cedar View. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chart Road, A274 North Street, Warmlake Road, Norton Road, Chart Hill Road and vice versa.
Dean Street, East Farleigh, ME15 0QA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dean Street, East Farleigh, on or after 20th June 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Deangate, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dean Street, B2010 Lower Road, B2163 Ewell Lane, B2163 Heath Road and vice versa.
Grigg Lane, Headcorn, TN27 9LS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Grigg Lane, Headcorn, on or after 17th June 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Ringles. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Baker Lane, Lenham Road, Forge Lane, Oak Lane, Grigg Lane and vice versa.
Rayners Hill, Lenham, ME17 2ED (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rayners Hill, Lenham, on or after 20th June 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Harrow Inn, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Waterditch Lane, Hubbards Hill, A20 Ashford Road, Rayners Hill and vice versa.
Rose Lane, Lenham Heath, ME17 2JR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rose Lane, Lenham Heath, on or after 17th June 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Mulberry House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained.
Sheephurst Lane, Marden, TN12 9PL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sheephurst Lane, Marden, on or after 3rd July 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 8, between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sheephurst Lane, B2079 Goudhurst Road, B2079 West End, B2079 High Street, B2079 Maidstone Road, Underlyn Lane, Hunton Road, Green Lane, B2162 Collier Street, B2162 Claygate and vice versa.
Ulcombe Road, Langley, ME17 3JJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow drainage repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ulcombe Road, Langley, on or after 17th June 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Wood Dene. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2163 Leeds Road, A274 Maidstone Road, Chartway Street, Pitt Road, Ulcombe Road and vice versa.
Upper Street, Hollingbourne, ME17 1UL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Upper Street, Hollingbourne, on or after 1st July 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Dirty Habit. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hollingbourne Hill, Court Dane Shaws, Swanton Street, The Street, Primrose Lane, Bredgar Road, Hearts Delight Road, Wrens Road, Sutton Baron Road, Pond Farm Road, Oad Street, A249 Sittingbourne Road, A249 Detling Hill, A249 Newnham Court Roundabout, A249 Bearsted Road, New Cut Road, A20 Ashford Road, Eyhorne Street and vice versa.
