Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
GRAVESHAM AREA
B262 SPRINGHEAD ROAD, NORTHFLEET SUSPENSION OF 7.5T WEIGHT LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow for a carnival procession, Kent County Council has made an Order to suspend the 7.5T weight restriction on B262 Springhead Road, Northfleet, between A226 Thames Way and B262 Hall Road on or after 22 June 2024 for up to 1 day between 07.00hrs and 22.00hrs.
Green Farm Lane, Shorne, DA12 3JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of blockage clearance on existing BT ducts to enable cabling works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Green Farm Lane, Shorne, on or after 18th June 2024 for up to 3 days between 09.00hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between A226 Gravesend Road and Burdett Avenue.
The alternative route is via Green Farm Lane, Lower Road, Chalk Road, School Lane, Forge Lane, A226 Gravesend Road and vice versa.
Halfpence Lane, Cobham, DA12 3BP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of signage upgrading works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Halfpence Lane, Cobham, on or after 7th July 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed adjacent to the roundabout.
The alternative route is via Darnley Lodge Lane, Thong Lane, A226 Rochester Road, B261 Old Road East, Valley Drive, Hever Court Road, Marling Cross Overbridge, Henhurst Road, Jeskyns Road, The Street and vice versa.
Henley Street, Luddesdown, DA13 0XE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Henley Street, Luddesdown, on or after 20th June 2024 for up to 2 days between 09.00hrs and 17.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed adjacent to Darnley Cottage.
The alternative route is via Henley Street, Gold Street, Sole Street, Camer Road, Green Lane, Camer Park Road, Foxendown Lane, Oakenden Road, Luddesdown Road and vice versa.
Lower Higham Road, Gravesend, DA12 4UQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Higham Road, Gravesend, on or after 1st July 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 198.
The alternative route is via Lower Higham Road, Lower Road, Chalk Road, School Lane, Forge Lane, A226 Gravesend Road/Rochester Road and vice versa.
Lynton Road South, Gravesend, DA11 0SZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lynton Road South, Gravesend, on or after 2nd July 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 2.
The alternative route is via Lynton Road South, Bartlett Road, Dashwood Road, B261 Old Road West and vice versa.
Walmers Avenue, Higham, ME3 7EL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Walmers Avenue, Higham, on or after 20th June 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 41.
The alternative route is via Walmers Avenue, Hollytree Drive, A226 Gravesend Road and vice versa.
