Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA
A2034 Cherry Garden Avenue & A259 Churchill Avenue, Folkestone, CT19 5LN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A2034 Cherry Garden Avenue & A259 Churchill Avenue, Folkestone, on or after 1st July 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
A2034 Cherry Garden Avenue will be closed from the junction of Cherry Garden Lane to Junction 13 M20, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A2034 Cherry Garden Avenue, B2064 Cheriton Road, B2064 Cheriton High Street, B2064 Cheriton Approach, A20 Cheriton Interchange, M20 Junction 12 to Junction 13 On Slip, M20 Junction 12 to Junction 13, M20 Junction 13 to Junction 12 Off Slip and A259 Castle Hill Bridge.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via M20 Junction 13 to Junction 12 On Slip, M20 Junction 13 to Junction 12, M20 Junction 12 from Junction 13 Off Slip, A20 Cheriton Interchange, B2064 Cheriton Approach, B2064 Cheriton High Street, B2064 Cheriton Road and A2034 Cherry Garden Avenue.
A259 Churchill Avenue will be closed from the junction of Park Farm Road to Junction 13 M20, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via A259 Churchill Avenue, A259 Canterbury Road, A259 Black Bull Road, A259 Radnor Park Road and A2034 Cheriton Road.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A2034 Cheriton Road, A259 Radnor Park Road, A259 Pavilion Road, A259 Black Bull Road, A259 Canterbury Road and A259 Churchill Avenue.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Walton Gardens, Folkestone, CT19 5PS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Walton Gardens, Folkestone, on or after 18th June 2024 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 48, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Walton Gardens, Downs Road, Dolphins Road, Wingate Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
