Notice is hereby given that Stoke on Trent City Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act, 1991, the effect of which will be to prohibit the driving of any vehicle along Liverpool Road between Stoke Road and Lovatt Street.

The order is to allow for the completion of building flood barrier defences and will come into operation on Monday 17th June 2024 to Monday 16th June 2025 or until the works it is proposed to carry out are completed, whichever is the earlier.

Pedestrian facilities will be maintained throughout the period of the closure as far as possible.

Access to properties will be maintained as far as possible.

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained as far as possible.

Nothing in the Order shall apply unless indicated by traffic signs or cones or by the direction of a police officer in uniform.
