Dover, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DOVER AREA

A256 Crabble Hill, Dover, CT17 0RY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow railway bridge works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A256 Crabble Hill, Dover, on or after 7th July 2024 for up to 22 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the railway bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via A256 London Road, A256 Whitfield Hill, A2 between Whitfield Roundabout and junction with A256, A2 between junction with A256 and Duke Of Yorks Roundabout, A2 Jubilee Way, A20 Townwall Street, A256 York Street, A256 Priory Road, A256 High Street, A256 London Road and A256 Crabble Hill.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A256 Buckland Avenue, A256 Barton Road, A256 Frith Road, A256 Charlton Green, A256 Maison Dieu Road, A20 Townwall Street, A2 Jubilee Way, A2 between junction with A256 and Duke Of Yorks Roundabout, A2 between Whitfield Roundabout and junction with A256, A256 Whitfield Hill, A256 London Road and A256 Crabble Hill Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

A258 Dover Road, Walmer, CT14 7UJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A258 Dover Road, Walmer, on or after 1st July 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of St Margarets Drive and Ripple Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via A258 Dover Road, A258 Deal Road, A2 Between Junction With A256 And Duke Of Yorks Roundabout, A2 Dover Road Slip Westbound Off, A256 Link Between Whitfield Interchange Roundabouts, A256 Whitfield Bypass, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, A256 Eastry Bypass, A256 Sandwich Road, A258 Deal Road, A258 Sandwich Road, A258 London Road, A258 Queen Street, A258 Broad Street, A258 Beach Street, A258 Prince Of Wales Terrace, A258 Deal Castle Road, A258 Victoria Road and A258 The Strand.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A258 The Strand, A258 Victoria Road, A258 Ranelagh Road, A258 Prince Of Wales Terrace, A258 Beach Street, A258 Queen Street, A258 London Road, A258 Sandwich Road, A258 Deal Road, A256 Sandwich Road, A256 Eastry Bypass, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, A256 Whitfield Bypass, A2 Dover Road Slip Eastbound On and A2 Between Junction With A256 And Duke Of Yorks Roundabout, A258 Deal Road and A258 Dover Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Bowling Street, Sandwich, CT13 9ES (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bowling Street, Sandwich, on or after 19th June 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Vicarage Lane and Delf Street, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bowling Street, Delf Street, Church Street St Mary, Strand Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Church Lane, Stourmouth (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Lane, Stourmouth, on or after 17th June 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Rose Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Grove Road, Preston, CT3 1FU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Grove Road, Preston, on or after 21st June 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Preston Meadows and Lambourne Way, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Grove Road, Grove Ferry Road, Grove Ferry Hill, A28 Island Road, A28 Canterbury Road, A253 Ramsgate Road, Gore Street, Plucks Gutter, The Street, Preston Road, Stourmouth Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

High Street, Sandwich, CT13 0WU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Sandwich, on or after 4th July 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Upper Strand Street and Short Street, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, The Quay, Knightrider Street, Sandown Road, St Georges Road, New Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Mill Lane, Preston, CT3 1HB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Lane, Preston, on or after 4th July 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Street Farm House to Park Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Longmete Road, Mill Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Slip Lane, Alkham, CT15 7DA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Slip Lane, Alkham, on or after 4th July 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Warren Lane and Alkham Valley Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Slip Lane, Alkham Valley Road, Wolverton Hill, Belsey Lane, Ferne Lane, Warren Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Station Road, Deal, CT14 9JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Station Road, Deal, on or after 2nd July 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Sydney Road and Cross Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Station Road, Sydney Road, St Richards Road, Cross Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

The Dover Regatta, Dover, CT17 9BN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow the Dover Regatta to take place, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Dover, on or after 6th July 2024 for up to 14 hours or until the works have been completed.

Restrictions will be between the hours of 06:00 and 22:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Esplande will be closed between the junctions of Union Street and Waterloo Crescent, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Waterloo Crescent will be closed between the junctions of Esplande and Wellesley Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wellesley Road, A20 Townwall Street, A20 Snargate Street, Union Street, Wellington Swing Bridge, Union Street and vice versa.

Cambridge Road will have a suspension of one-way from Cullins Yard to the junction of New Bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
