Radcliffe On Trent - Prohibition Of Driving For Gas Mains Replacement Works
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(RADCLIFFE ON TRENT GAS MAINS REPLACEMENT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (R24-135)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Radcliffe on Trent in the Borough of Rushcliffe.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. Golf Road, Radcliffe on Trent - between its junction with Bingham Road and a point 10 metres south of that junction.
b. New Road, Radcliffe on Trent - between its junction with Bingham Road and a point 10 metres north of that junction.
c. Albert Street, Radcliffe on Trent - between its junction with Cropwell Road and a point 10 metres east of that junction.
d. Victoria Street, Radcliffe on Trent - between its junction with Cropwell Road and a point 10 metres east of that junction.
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 07:00 hours on Monday 17th June 2024 Until 18:00 hours on Friday 23rd August 2024 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. Bingham Road - Cropwell Road - A52 Grantham Road and vice versa.
b. Bingham Road - Shelford Road and vice versa.
c. Cropwell Road - Victoria Street - Lincoln Grove and vice versa.
d. Cropwell Road - Albert Street - Lincoln Grove and vice versa.
The Order will come into force on 17th June 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.
The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Cadent Gas to carry out gas mains replacement works;
