Brighton and Hove, Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Resurfacing Works.

What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER

SURFACE TREATMENT WORKS

VARIOUS LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT BRIGHTON AND HOVE

1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council have on the 5 June 2024 made an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which has the following effect:-

In phases, in force as an when signed Dates available on One.Network

(a) The temporary closure of A259 Marine Drive, Brighton from it's junction with Roedean Road to its junction with the Ovingdean Roundabout.

(b) The temporary closure of Valley Road, Portslade for its entire length, to be done in phases over weekends only.

(c) The temporary closure of Stanley Avenue, Portslade for its entire length.

(d) The temporary closure of Graham Avenue, Portslade for its entire length.

(e) The temporary closure of Worcester Villas, Hove for its entire length, and it will be necessary to suspend the one-way order for the same extent to maintain access.

(f) The temporary closure of Leicester Villas, Hove for its entire length, and it will be necessary to suspend the one-way order for the same extent to maintain access.

(g) The temporary closure of Woodland Close, Hove for its entire length

(h) The temporary closure of Woodland Avenue, Hove for its entire length

(i) The temporary closure of Hill Drive, Hove for its entire length

(j) The temporary closure of Hill Brow, Hove for its entire length

(k) The temporary closure of Woodland Drive, Hove from its junction with

Dyke Road to its junction with Shirley Drive.

(l) The temporary closure of Surrenden Close, Brighton for its entire length.

(m) The temporary closure of Devonshire Place, Brighton for its entire length.

(n) The temporary closure of Tongdean Road, Hove for its entire length.

(o) The temporary closure of Dyke Road Place, Hove for its entire length.

(p) The temporary closure of Cooksbridge Road, Brighton for its entire length.

(q) The temporary closure of Wiston Road South, Brighton for its entire length.

(r) The temporary closure of Piltdown Road, Brighton for its entire length.

(s) The temporary closure of Colgate Close, Brighton for its entire length.

(t) The temporary closure of Pulborough Close, Brighton for its entire length.

(u) The temporary closure of Haybourne Close, Brighton for its entire length.

(v) The temporary closure of Limney Road, Brighton for its entire length.

(w) The temporary closure of Haybourne Road, Brighton for its entire length.

(x) The temporary closure of Coolham Drive, Brighton for its entire length.

(y) The temporary closure of Sevelands Close, Brighton for its entire length.

(z) The temporary closure of Twineham Close, Brighton for its entire length.

(aa) The temporary closure of Aldrich Close, Brighton for its entire length.

(bb)The temporary closure of Hawthorn Close, Brighton for its entire length.

(cc) The temporary closure of Chorley Avenue, Saltdean for its entire length.

(dd)The temporary closure of Lindfield Close & Lustrells Close, Saltdean for its

entire length.

(ee) The temporary closure of Falmer Avenue, Saltdean for its entire length.

(ff) The temporary closure of Effingham Close, Saltdean for its entire length.

(gg)The temporary closure of Glynde Avenue, Saltdean for its entire length.

(hh)The temporary closure of Upper Bedford Street, Brighton for its entire length.

(ii) The temporary closure of Wentworth Street, Brighton for its entire length.

2. The Order is necessary to allow Surface Treatment and associated works to take place.

3. Pedestrian access will be maintained, and signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic when appropriate.

4. This Order comes into force on 5 June 2024 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 7 July 2024.
