Otterburn, Temporary Road Closure Due To Repair Works
What is happening?
NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1) B6320 TOFTS BURN JUNCTION TO OTTERBURN JUNCTION OTTERBURN (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B6320 Tofts Burn Junction To Otterburn Junction from its junction with the A696 heading in a south westerly direction for a length of 2500 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 26th June 2024 until the 2nd August 2024. It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 26th June 2024 until the 3rd July 2024 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 2nd August 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the A696, A68 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out repairs to the bridge parapet following on from a road traffic accident.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
