Tyne Green Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Gas Works
What is happening?
NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1) U8298 TYNE GREEN ROAD HEXHAM (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8298 Tyne Green Road Hexham from its junction with the U8290 heading in a northerly direction for a length of 136 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 28th June 2024 until the 8th August 2024. It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 28th June 2024 until the 25th July 2024 between the hours of 08:00 until 18:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 8th August 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the U8290, U8287 and vice-versa. Enquiries should be made to Northumberland County Council's Contact Centre 0345 600 6400 or at https://one.network (enter the road number and road name). - Ref: 138891688.
The closure has been requested by Northern Gas Networks to allow for gas mains replacement works to take place. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
