What is happening?

C405 STATION ROAD BEDLINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER NO.3 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C405 Station Road Bedlington from its junction with Melrose Villas Taylors Buildings to its junction with Palace Road for a distance of 65 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 13th June 2024 until the 30th June 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from 16:00 hours on the 13th June 2024 until 05:30 hours on the 15th June 2024 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 30th June 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via C404, A1147, A189, B1331, C405 and vice versa.
A shuttle bus will be provided for pedestrians.

The closure has been requested by Centurion Site Services on behalf of Balfour Beatty for tamping through the level crossing. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
