U6703 Hawthorn Road - Temporary Road Closure

U6703 HAWTHORN ROAD ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6703 Hawthorn Road Ashington from its junction with Second Avenue heading south for a distance of 210 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 1st July 2024 until the 2nd January 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 22nd July 2024 until the 23rd July 2024 between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 2nd January 2025.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the Hawthorn Road, Woodhorn Road, Alexandra Road, College Road.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carryout carriageway resurfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
