Worksop - Various Carriageway Patching Works

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(CARRIAGEWAY PATCHING WORKS, BARNBY MOOR, WORKSOP, SKEGBY, ELKESLEY & EAST MARKHAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (BS24-157)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Worksop, Elkesley, Skegby, Barnby Moor & East Markham in the District of Bassetlaw.

The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of roads in paragraph 4:
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (Both sides, 08:00-15:30) in the following length of roads in paragraph 4: -
3. Vehicles are prohibited from Stopping (Both sides, 08:00-15:30) in the following length of roads in paragraph 4: -

A634 Retford Road, Barnby Moor – from its junction with A638 Great North Road to its junction with Tinker Lane.
Skegby Road, Skegby – from its junction with Polly Taylors Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 315 metres.
Dove Close, Worksop – for its full length of road.
Hardwick Road East, Worksop – from its junction with Featherston Avenue to its junction with College Lane.
Hardwick Crescent, Worksop – from its junction with Hardwick Road East in a westerly direction for a distance of 85 metres.
Low Street, Elkesley – for its full length of road.
Manton Crescent, Worksop – from its northerly junction with College Lane in a westerly direction for a distance of 70 metres.
Askham Road, East Markham – from its junction with A57 to its junction with High Street.
5. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
6. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
Retford Road, Barnby Moor-
From 08:00 hours on Wednesday 3rd July 2024
Until 15:30 hours on Thursday 4th July 2024

Skegby Road, Skeby-
From 08:00 hours on Friday 5th July 2024
Until 15:30 hours on Tuesday 9th July 2024

Dove Close, Worksop-
From 08:00 hours on Wednesday 10th July 2024
Until 15:30 hours on Thursday 11th July 2024

Hardwick Road East, Worksop-
From 08:00 hours on Tuesday 16th July 2024
Until 15:30 hours on Thursday 18th July 2024

Hardwick Crescent, Worksop-
From 08:00 hours until 15:30 hours on Friday 19th July 2024

Low Street, Elkesley-
From 08:00 hours on Monday 22nd July 2024
Until 15:30 hours on Thursday 25th July 2024

Manton Crescent, Worksop-
From 08:00 hours until 15:30 hours on Friday 26th July 2024

Askham Road, East Markham-
From 09:00 hours on Monday 29th July 2024
Until 15:00 hours on Friday 2nd August 2024

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route
available will be:
Retford Road – A638 Great North Road – B6045 Blyth Road – B6045 Ranskill Road – A634 Retford Road and vice versa.
Skegby Road – Polly Taylors Road – Fledborough Road – Marnham Road – Gracefield Lane – Eastgate – Tuxford Road and vice versa.
Hardwick Road East – Radford Street – Shrewsbury Road – Featherston Avenue and vice versa.
Hardwick Crescent – Hardwick Road West – B6040 Retford Road and vice versa.
Askham Road – A57 – High Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into force on Wednesday 3rd July 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to carry out carriageway patching repairs;
