What is happening?
Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Tuesday 18 June 2024 until 1600 hours on Monday 8 July 2024, or when the works has been completed, Brookside Crescent will be closed for its entire length. There is no alternative route. The closure is required for utility works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Norton Green, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 3 2024
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0830 hours on Thursday 20 June 2024 until 1530 hours on Friday 21 June 2024, or when the works has been completed, Norton Green will be closed between its junctions with Hill Lane and Freshwater Footpath 12. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for utility works.
The Isle of Wight Council (West Street, Wroxall, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2024
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 17 June 2024 until 1600 hours on Friday 12 July 2024, or when the works has been completed, West Street will be closed between its junctions with High Street and Mountfield Road. The Isle of Wight Council (Youngwoods Way, Alverstone, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 2 2024
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Thursday 20 June 2024 until 1600 hours on Friday 5 July 2024, or when the works has been completed, Youngwoods Way will be closed between its junctions with Alverstone Shute and Woodside Avenue. The Isle of Wight Council (Whippingham Road, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary 30 MPH Speed Restriction) Order No 2 2024
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for 1-3 nights between 14 June 2024 and 26 July 2024, a 30 MPH speed restriction will be in place along Whippingham Road, for its entire length between the hours of 1930 and 0600, or when the works has been completed. The alternative route will be signposted locally. This restriction is required to allow safety stud and lining works to be undertaken.

The Isle of Wight Council (Pan Lane, Niton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 2 2024
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Wednesday 19 June 2024, and Friday 21 June 2024, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Pan Lane, Niton between its junction with Church Street for its entire length, the alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during drainage works.
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Monday 17 June 2024 and Friday 26 July 2024 the following roads will be closed at all times for a period of approximately 10 days within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable footway resurfacing works and resurfacing & maintenance works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works and maintenance works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 07 June 2024 and Friday 19 July 2024 the following roads will be closed at all times for a period of approximately 10 days within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable footway resurfacing works and resurfacing & maintenance works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works and maintenance works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe.
