NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an
Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle and Equestrian from
proceeding along the length of Kimbolton Road Wilden and Kimbolton Road
Bolnhurst.
This temporary road closure is required to facilitate the replacement of 10km
of a 12" water main and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time
be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours
from 17th June 2024 to 1st November 2024 Phase 1 from Shrubbery Lane to New Road Wilden  Diversion Kimbolton Road, Thurleigh Road, Cross End, Robins Folly, Sunderland Hill, Oldways Road, New Close.
Phase 2 from New Road Wilden to St Neots Road Bolnhurst

The proposed Order will come into operation on 17th June 2024, for a period
of 18 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed
above, whichever is the earlier.

TURVEY ROAD, STAGSDEN 24 – 020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an
Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the length of Turvey Road Stagsden.
This temporary road closure is required to facilitate a new water supply and
shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the
appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to
18:00 hours from 17th June 2024 to 19th June 2024
The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via
Turvey Road, Northampton Road, Bromham Bypass, Bedford Road,
Stagsden Bypass, High Street, Church Lane. The reverse route applies.
The proposed Order will come into operation on 17th June 2024, for a period

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less
than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of
which will be to prohibit any vehicle, from proceeding along Hillgrounds Road Kempston 55 - 66.
This temporary road closure is required to facilitate resurfacing and shall
apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the
appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 24hours
from 6th July 2024 to 7th July 2024

Newton Lane Turvey from High Street Turvey to the Borough boundary.
This temporary road closure is required to facilitate carriageway re surfacing
and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the

which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire,
police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along that
length of Park Avenue, Bedford from Forest Hill Road roundabout to the
junction with Kimbolton Road Bedford.
This temporary road closure is required to facilitate ingress /egress to the
Bedford Summer Sessions Festival and shall apply to such extent as may
from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is expected to be in operation between
16:00 to 23:59 hours each night 29th, 30th June 2024 and 4th, 5th, 6th,
7th July 2024

This temporary right turn prohibition is required to facilitate the Bedford

The prohibition would not apply to emergency service, traffic officer or

Effect of the Order:
1. To introduce ‘No waiting at any time’ restrictions (double primrose
coloured lines) on the following length of road in Felmersham:

(i) On its western kerb, extending from a point approx. 20.6 metres
southeast of Church End/The Old Road for a distance of
approx. 55 metres in a south-easterly direction.

(i) On its south-eastern kerb extending from the projected centre
of Kings Close for a distance of approx. 101 metres in a south

On 30 May 2024 Bedford Borough Council confirmed as an unopposed order
the above Order. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert that length
of Public Bridleway number M20 Melchbourne and Yielden commencing
from a point where it has a junction with that part of Public Bridleway number
M20 Melchbourne and Yielden to be retained at a point approximately 83
