U6014 Clifton Lane - Temporary Road Closure

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6014 Clifton Lane, Clifton 20 metres either side of the level crossing in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 29th June 2024 until the 30th June 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from 23:00 hours on the 29th June 2024 until 08:00 hours on the 30th June 2024; however, the order will remain in place until 30th June 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic heading east is A1, U9076, C363, A192.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic heading west is A192, C363, U9076, A1, B1337, A1.

The closure has been requested by Chevron Traffic Management on behalf of Network Rail for a re rail. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
