(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in Lesbury in the County of Northumberland:
A1068 Lesbury Road To Alnwick Road from its junction with the B1339 heading in a southerly direction for a length of 160 metres
A1068 Lesbury Road from its point with Lesbury Road to Alnwick Road heading in a south easterly direction for a length of 70 metres
The Order is to be effective from the 10th June 2024 until the 8th December 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 15th July 2024 until the 19th July 2024 between 22:00 hours until 06:00 hours during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 8th December 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the A1068, A1, C111, B6345, C108 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out surfacing works of the carriageway. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
