TO UNION BRIDGE HORNCLIFFE
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C2 Horncliffe Mains Junction To Union Bridge from 65 metres north of Chainbridge House, heading south-west for a distance of 150 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 10th June 2024 until the 26th July 2024 .
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 10th June 2024 until the 12th July 2024 and that it will be closed at all times during this period, however the Order will remain in place until the 26th July 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the C2, C3, C6, A698, A1, B6461 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Spencer Bridge Engineering Ltd to carry out the operational maintenance of the Union Chain Bridge.
