What is happening?

HORSHAM DISTRICT COUNCIL
(OFF STREET PARKING PLACES)
(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2023 (Amendment No. 4) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that Horsham District Council (“the Council”) in the exercise of its powers under Sections 32, 33 and 35(1)(a)(i)(ii) and (iii) to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, has made The Horsham District Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2023 (Amendment No. 4) Order 2024, the effect of which will be as follows:
1. To increase the price of the annual rural Parking Disc to £20.00.
2. To standardise the cost of additional annual rural Parking Discs to £20.00 each.
3. To remove the maximum number of annual rural Parking Discs that can be purchased by a household.
4. The Order will come into effect on 6th June 2024.
A copy of the Order, together with a statement of the Council’s reasons for making it, may be inspected at the Council’s Offices at Parkside, Chart Way, Horsham, RH12 1RL, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9am and 5pm.
If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order, or of any of its provisions, on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act, or of any instrument made under the Act, has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for this purpose to the High Court.
