Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C43 Blaisdon Road from its junction with the A48 to outside the property known as ‘The Dak’ for a total distance of approximately 320 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for vegetation clearance and structure maintenance works. The said road is expected to be closed from 22:00hrs on 10th June 2024 until 06:30hrs on 13th June 2024 only or until the works have been completed. Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400143 from outside the property known as ‘Brimstones’ to outside the property known as ‘Coldstream’ for a total distance of approximately 485 metres.

The reason for the closure is for Level Crossing barrier maintenance works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 23:00hrs on the 9th June 2024 until 05:00hrs on the 10th June 2024 only or until the works have been completed.

The reason for the said closure is for the excavation in the carriageway to complete works on the BT network.

Notice is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council in exercise of its enabling powers under Sections 82 and 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and under Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 (as amended) proposes to:

1. Extend the existing 30mph speed limit by reducing the extent of the existing 40mph speed limit to the extent defined in Schedule 1 below. (Please note that the extension to the 30mph speed limit will be introduced by virtue of streetlighting under Section 82 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act).
2. 2.Introduce the Speed Cushions listed in Schedule 2 below.

Temporary Closure Of Public Footpath Ftm 77
(Tidenham Parish) Forest Of Dean District

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council has made an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

(as amended) part of Public Footpath FTM 77, from its junction with FTM 93 & FTM 77A and then extends in a generally easterly and southerly direction for approximately 1740 metres to its junction with public footpath FTM 94.

The said Footpath falls within the Parish of Tidenham in the Forest of Dean District within the County of Gloucestershire.

The closure is necessary to safeguard the health and safety of the public due to a cliff face collapse which has become unstable and is now blocking the footpath.

The Public Footpath was originally closed for 21 days by Emergency Notice commencing 2nd May 2024 and this was extended for a further 21 days from 24th May 2024.

However, as it is known that the works to remedy the problem will not be completed within the extended 21 day period it is considered necessary to close the Public Footpath by

an Order which can authorise the closure for up to six months from the date of the initial Emergency Notice.

The Order came into effect on the 30th May 2024 and can remain in force for a period of six months from the date of the initial Emergency Notice. After this date, if the closure is still required it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time.
