What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE A47 TRUNK ROAD (NORTH RUNCTON TO EAST WINCH, KINGS LYNN, NORFOLK) (50 MILES PER HOUR AND 30 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024

National Highways Limited(a) gives notice that it has made an Order on 20 May 2024 under section 84(1) (a) and (2) of, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on lengths of the A47 Trunk Road (“the A47”) in the County of Norfolk. The effect of the Order which will come into force on 7 June 2024, will be to impose on the A47 at North Runcton, Middleton and East Winch, in Kings Lynn, a speed limit of –

• 50 miles per hour, on the –

• eastbound and westbound carriageways from a point 225 metres west of the centre line of its junction with New Road, North Runcton to a point 547 metres west of the centre line of its junction with School Road, Middleton, and

• eastbound and westbound carriageways from a point 375 metres east of the centre line of its junction with Station Road, Middleton, to a point 890 metres west of the centre line of its junction with East Winch Road, East
Winch and

• 30 miles per hour, on the eastbound and westbound carriageways from 547 metres west of the centre line of its junction with School Road, to a point 375 metres east of the centre line of its junction with Station Road, Middleton.
