What is happening?
Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: B4221 M50 Junction 3 Westbound Road, Gorsley, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the B4221 M50 Junction 3 Westbound Road, Gorsley, M50 junction 3 entry and exit slip road. Grid Ref: 366912 / 226286. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the M50 to the junction 4 roundabout onto the M50 to junction 2 onto the A417 onto the M50 junction 2 join west and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to urgent tree removal works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 24th of June 2024 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 night.
