What is happening?

Somerset Council A3038 Station Road, Taunton in the Parish of Taunton (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2024

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to Introduce the following temporary traffic restrictions as detailed in the Schedules below. This Order will come into operation on the 13th day of June 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The Works are expected to commence on the 23rd day of June 2024 for one day (between 0800 hours and 1800 hours) to enable OCU Group working on behalf of Vodafone Limited to carry out interim patches in reinstatement works. The restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs.

Schedule 2 Temporary Banned Right Turn A3038 Station Road, Taunton - From the A3038 Station Road onto Station Approach Whitehall, Taunton - From Whitehall onto the A3038 Station Road

Statement of reasons for making the Order a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
