BRIDLEWAY NO 44)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the following length of public:
I. Footpath No 23, Houghton Regis which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0313 2542 in a generally north westerly direction for approximately 320 metres to OS GR TL 0307 2567
and to prohibit any person proceeding on foot or on horseback or lead a horse or cycle along the length of part of public:
II. Bridleway No 44, Houghton Regis which extends from OS GR TL 0307 2567 in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 220 metres to OS GR TL 0324 2555
These temporary closures are required to safely enable overhead line works to take place. The closures are expected to take place on Footpath No 23 from 25 June to 15 July 2024 and on Bridleway No 44 from 26 July to 25 August 2024 or until the works are completed.
There are no alternative routes for footpath and bridleway users while the closures are in operation. Please use alternative public rights of way whilst the closures are in place.

This proposed Order will come into operation on 25 June 2024 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to the footpath and bridleway have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the following lengths of public:
I. F ootpath No A12, Caddington which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0545 1993 to OS GR TL 0479 1988
II. Footpath No 10, Caddington which extends from OS GR TL 0415 2069 to OS GR TL 0545 1993
III. F ootpath No 12, Caddington which extends from OS GR TL 0415 2069 to OS GR TL 0456 2017
IV. Footpath No 11, Caddington which extends from OS GR TL 0365 2104 to OS GR TL 0415 2069
V. F ootpath No 19, Dunstable which extends from OS GR TL 0263 2185 to OS GR TL 0297 2151
VI. Footpath No 21, Dunstable which extends from OS GR TL 0299 2151 to OS GR TL 0365 2104
These temporary closures are required to safely enable overhead line works to take place. The closures are expected to take place on Dunstable Footpath No 19 from 25 June to 15 July 2024 and on Dunstable Footpath No 21 and Caddington Footpath Nos A12, 10, 12 and 11 from 12 July to 4 August 2024 or until the works are completed.
The alternative route for the closure of Footpath No 19, Dunstable for footpath users will be:
From OS GR TL 0297 2151 proceed to Bridleway No 18, Dunstable at OS GR TL 0302 2153, then continue to Luton and Dunstable Busway at OS GR TL 0347 2184 and then towards OS GR TL 0263 2185 and vice versa. There are no other alternative routes for footpath users while the closures are in operation.

(ACCESS ROAD TO THE WHITE LION RETAIL PARK, DUNSTABLE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Access Road to the White Lion Retail Park, Dunstable between College Drive and the roundabout.
This temporary closure is required to enable overhead line and electricity pylon works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 25 June to 19 July 2024 between the hours of 7am and 7pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via College Drive, A5505, A505 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 25 June 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Barton Bypass (A6), Barton-le-Clay between Faldo Road and Streatley roundabout.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 24 to 28 June 2024 between the hours of 8pm and 5am. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via A6, A507, A600, A505, A5228 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 24 June 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Thorn Road, Houghton Regis at both junctions with West Highland Drive.
This temporary closure is required to enable S278 remedial and contract completion works to footpaths, carriageway and verges to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 24 June to 12 July 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via B5120, A5 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 24 June 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Castle Hill Road, Totternhoe outside number 217.
This temporary closure is required to enable water connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 11 to 14 June 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Eaton Bray Road, Totternhoe Road, High Street, Bower Lane, Harling Road, Tring Road, Totternhoe Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 11 June 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Mancroft Road, Caddington between number 250 and Piper’s Farm.
This temporary closure is required to enable highway surveying works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 10 to 14 June 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Woodside Road, Manor Road, Dunstable Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 10 June 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
