What is happening?

MAE GWEINIDOGION CYMRU wedi gwneud Gorchymyn o dan adran 14 o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984. Mae angen y Gorchymyn er mwyn gwneud gwaith ar gefnffordd yr A487, neu gerllaw iddi, yn Aber-arth, Ceredigion.

Effaith y Gorchymyn yw gwahardd dros dro bob cerbyd, ac eithrio’r rhai a ddefnyddir gan y gwasanaethau brys neu ar gyfer y Gwaith, rhag mynd ar y darn o gefnffordd yr A487 yn Aber-arth sy’n ymestyn o’i chyffordd â’r U1553 i Eglwys Aber-arth hyd at bwynt 400 metr i’r gogledd-ddwyrain o ganolbwynt ei chyffordd â’r B4577.

Caiff cerbydau sy’n teithio tua’r gogledd eu dargyfeirio o Aberaeron ar yr A482 tua’r de-ddwyrain i Lanbedr Pont Steffan, yr A485 tua’r gogledd-ddwyrain i Dregaron a’r A485 tua’r gogledd drwy Ledrod a Llanilar i ailymuno â’r A487 yn Llanfarian: i’r gwrthwyneb ar gyfer cerbydau sy’n teithio tua’r de.

Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 3 Mehefin 2024. Disgwylir y bydd y gwaharddiad dros dro yn weithredol dros nos (19:00 – 06:00 o’r gloch) o 3 – 8 Mehefin 2024 neu hyd nes y caiff yr arwyddion traffig dros dro eu symud ymaith yn barhaol.

Dim ond yn ystod y dyddiadau a bennir uchod y disgwylir i’r Gorchymyn fod yn weithredol. Er hynny, bydd yn parhau’n ddilys am gyfnod o 18 mis ar y mwyaf rhag ofn y bydd angen ailamserlennu’r gwaith neu wneud gwaith canlyniadol neu waith arall.

The A487 Trunk Road (Aberarth, Ceredigion)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicles) Order 2024

THE WELSH MINISTERS have made an Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which is necessary to undertake works on or near the A487 trunk road at Aberarth, Ceredigion.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit all vehicles, other than those being used by the emergency services or for the works, from proceeding on the length of the A487 trunk road at Aberarth that extends from its junction with the U1553 to Aberarth Church to a point 400 metres north-east of the centre-point of its junction with the B4577.

Northbound vehicles will be diverted from Aberaeron via the south-eastbound A482 to Lampeter, north-eastbound A485 to Tregaron and northbound A485 through Lledrod and Llanilar to rejoin the A487 at Llanfarian: vice versa for southbound vehicles.

The Order comes into force on 3 June 2024. The temporary prohibition is expected to operate overnight (19:00 – 06:00 hours) from 3 – 8 June 2024 or until the temporary traffic signs are permanently removed.

Although the Order is only expected to operate during the dates specified above it will remain valid for a maximum period of 18 months, as a contingency, should the work need to be rescheduled or consequential or other work is required.

Notice of any changes to times and dates will be displayed before any rescheduled work begins.
