What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL

(A65 NOOK)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable structural carriageway repairs to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the A65 Nook, from its junction with the A590 Roundabout, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 805m.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available for;

Northbound Traffic: via the unrestricted sections of A65, A590, A591, A5284, A6, A684 and A683.

Southbound Traffic: via the unrestricted sections of A65, A683, A684, A6, A5284, A591, and A590.

The Order will come into operation on 17th June 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 19 days (works to take place at night between 19:30 - 6:00) and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
