What is happening?

THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDERS 2024
COUNTY ROAD NORTH (PART) AND LANGDALE AVENUE (PART)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along: County Road North, from outside the Pavillion to the side of the National Public House; and Langdale Avenue, outside number 2 to the junction of County Road North, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during the installation of new gas pipes.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on the days.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will take effect on 6th July 2024, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in a period of approximately 27 working days.

ANLABY ROAD (FLYOVER)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along: Anlaby Road, from Selby Street to Walton Street, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during the surface dressing of existing surface overlay works, and the replacement of road markings.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will take effect on 1st July 2024, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed overnight, from 7pm on 1st July 2024 to 6am on 2nd July 2024.

CALVERT ROAD (PART)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along: Calvert Road, from Spring Bank West to County Road North, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during the surface dressing of existing overlay works, and the replacement of road markings.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will take effect on 3rd July 2024, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 7pm and midnight on 3rd July 2024.

SPRING BANK WEST (RAILWAY CROSSING)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along: Spring Bank West, at Walton Street Level Railway Crossing, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during rerailing through level crossing works.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

The Order will take effect on 29th June 2024, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 11pm on 29th June 2024 to 8.30am on 30th June 2024.

GILLSHILL ROAD (PART)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along: Gillshill Road, from the junction of Sutton Road to the junction of Tween Dykes Road, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during carriageway resurfacing works.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will take effect on 1st July 2024, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in a period of approximately 12 days.

MARTON GROVE (PART)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Marton Grove, between Inglemire Lane and The Quadrant, Kingston upon Hull.

A Two Way System will be operational on Marton Grove for residents and required access only.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during carriageway repair works.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will come into effect 24th June 2024 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 9.30am to 3.30pm on 24th June 2024 and 25th June 2024.

LABURNUM AVENUE (PART)/WESTCOTT STREET (PART) LEE STREET (PART)/SUMMERGANGS ROAD (PART)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Laburnum Avenue, at the junction of Holderness Road; and Westcott Street, at the junction of Holderness Road, from 17th June 2024 to 26th June 2024, and Lee Street, at the junction of Holderness Road; and Summergangs Road at the junction of Holderness Road, from 15th July 2024 to 24th July 2024, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during gas mains replacement works.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

The Order will come into effect 17th June 2024 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 8am to 5pm on the dates indicated above.

SEXTANT ROAD/EVERGREEN DRIVE/GREYLEES AVENUE (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2(1) to (3), 4(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in pursuance of powers granted by the Secretary of State under Section 74 and Part 2 of Schedule 8 and under Paragraph 8 of Schedule 9 of the Traffic Management Act 2004.

The effect of the Order will be to install new double yellow lines on Sextant Road between the junctions with Compass Road and Sextant Road, and at the junctions of Evergreen Drive with Beverley Road and Greylees Avenue.

The purpose of the Order is considered necessary to provide visibility of oncoming vehicles, ensure access to properties and to facilitate traffic flow.

A copy of the draft Order, the relevant plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order are available for inspection during normal office hours at the General Reception Area, The Kingston upon Hull City Council, The Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull, HU1 2AA.
