Dover, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DOVER AREA

Alkham Road, Temple Ewell, CT16 3AE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow bridge works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Alkham Road, Temple Ewell, on or after 10th June 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the railway bridge, between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Alkham Road, Alkham Valley Road, A260 Alkham Valley Road, A260 Canterbury Road, A260 Hill Road Dual Carriageway, B2011 Dover Hill, B2011 New Dover Road, B2011 Folkestone Road, A256 Priory Road, A256 High Street, A256 London Road, A256 Crabble Hill, A256 London Road and London Road.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via London Road, A256 London Road, A256 Crabble Hill, A25 Buckland Avenue, A256 Barton Avenue, A256 Frith Road, A256 Charlton Green, A256 Maison Dieu Road, Pencester Road, Biggin Street, Priory Street, B2011 Folkestone Road, B2011 New Dover Road, B2011 Dover Hill, A260 Hill Road Dual Carriageway, A260 Canterbury Road, A260 Alkham Valley Road, Alkham Valley Road and Alkham Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Dorman Avenue South, Aylesham, CT3 3NF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dorman Avenue South, Aylesham, on or after 26th June 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Aylesham Baptist Church, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Dorman Avenue South, Market Place, Kings Road, Queens Road, Ackholt Road and Hyde Place.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Dorman Avenue South, Market Place, Boulevard Courrieres and Milner Crescent.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Gore Road & Woodnesborough Lane, Eastry, CT13 0LT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gore Road & Woodnesborough Lane, Eastry, on or after 11th June 2024 for up to 5 hours or until the works have been completed.

Gore Road will be closed at the junction with Woodnesborough Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gore Road, Gore Lane, Woodnesborough Lane and vice versa.

Woodnesborough Lane will be closed at the junction with Gore Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandwich Road, Statenborough Lane, Woodnesborough Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Mongeham Road, Great Mongeham, CT14 9LJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mongeham Road, Great Mongeham, on or after 24th June 2024 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 126, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mongeham Road, Northbourne Road, Willow Road, Deal Road, Broad Lane, Bridge Hill, A258 Sandwich Road, A258 London Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Ratling Road, Aylesham, CT3 3HL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ratling Road, Aylesham, on or after 28th June 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of B2046 Adisham Road and Hallsdown Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2046 Adisham Road, Dorman Avenue North, Cornwallis Avenue, Ratling Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Sandwich Road, Whitfield CT16 3GT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sandwich Road, Whitfield, on or after 24th June 2024 for up to 26 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of A256 Whitfield Bypass and Archers Court Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via A256 Whitfield Bypass, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, A256 Whitfield Bypass, A256 Link Between Whitfield Interchange Roundabouts, A256 Whitfield Interchange Southern Roundabout, A2 Dover Road Slip Westbound On, A2 Between Whitfield Roundabout And Junction With A256 and Sandwich Road.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Sandwich Road, A2 Between Whitfield Roundabout And Junction With A256, A2 Dover Road Slip Eastbound Off and A256 Whitfield Bypass.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

St Richards Road, Deal, CT14 9LJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Richards Road, Deal, on or after 13th June 2024 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Mongeham Road and St Augustines Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mongeham Road, St Martins Road, Rectory Road, St Richards Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Station Road, Walmer, CT14 7UJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Station Road, Walmer, on or after 24th June 2024 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 7, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A258 Dover Road, Salisbury Road, Court Road, Station Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

The Street, Preston, CT3 1DP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Preston, on or after 26th June 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Stourmouth Road and Preston Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 only to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Preston Lane, Preston Road, Preston Hill, A257 Gobery Hill, A257 Roman Road, A257 Pedding Hill, A257 Ash Bypass, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A256 Ramsgate Road, A256 Richborough Road, A299 Hengist Way, A299 Canterbury Road West, A253 Canterbury Road, Gore Street, Plucks Gutter, The Street, Preston Road, Stourmouth Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Wingleton Lane, Ripple, CT14 8HX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow railway works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wingleton Lane, Ripple, on or after 24th June 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the railway bridge, between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wingleton Lane, Sutton Lane, Front Street, A258 Dover Road, Ripple Road, Crooked S Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Woodnesborough Lane, Eastry, CT13 0QF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Woodnesborough Lane, Eastry, on or after 13th June 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Gore Lane and Peak Drive, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Woodnesborough Lane, Sandwich Road, Statenborough Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
