What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DARTFORD AREA
Bean Road, Greenhithe, DA9 9LU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of footpath widening and improvement works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bean Road, Greenhithe, on or after 24th June 2024 to 30th August 2024 between 09.00hrs and 17.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between B255 St Clements Way and Mounts Road.
The alternative route is via Mounts Road, B255 St Clements Way and vice versa.
Devon Road, Devon Court & Darent Road, Sutton At Hone. DA4 9EP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Thames Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Devon Road, Devon Court and Darent Road, Sutton At Hone, on or after 11th June 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
Devon Road will be closed between A225 Main Road and Darent Mead.
Devon Court and Darent Road will be closed for their entire lengths.
The alternative route for Devon Road is via A225 Main Road, Cedar Drive, Devon Road and vice versa.
Elizabeth Street & Church Hill, Greenhithe, DA9 9PW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Elizabeth Street & Church Hill, Greenhithe, on or after 24th June 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
Elizabeth Street will be closed outside Lads of the Village.
Church Hill will be closed from Elizabeth Street to the Gate for Railway.
The alternative route is via Elizabeth Street, Church Hill, Stone Place Road, A226 London Road, B2228 Cotton Lane and vice versa.
Manor Road, Longfield DA3 7AT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Manor Road, Longfield, on or after 16th June 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the railway bridge.
The alternative route is via Manor Road, Hartley Bottom Road, B260 Main Road and vice versa.
Mill Pond Road, Dartford, DA1 5LR (BUS LANE SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of a detailed examination of a retaining wall, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily suspend the bus lane on part of Mill Pond Road, Dartford, on or after 26th June 2024 for up to 1 night between 22:00hrs and 06:00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The bus lane will be suspended approx. 85m west of Overy Street junction to 30m before the roundabout.
Tredegar Road, Wilmington, DA2 7AP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of connections for Horse & Groom pub, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tredegar Road, Wilmington, on or after 24th June 2024 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Leyton Cross Road and number 31.
The alternative route is via Leyton Cross Road, Oakfield Lane, Wilmington Court Road, Tredegar Road and vice versa.
Wilmington Court Road, Wilmington. DA2 7AU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Thames Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wilmington Court Road, Wilmington, on or after 10th June 2024 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Oakfield Lane and Common Lane
The alternative route is via Common Lane, Oakfield Lane and vice versa.
