The East Sussex (Public Footpath Bexhill 138) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2022
To protect public safety during the construction of a housing development, the Secretary of State has extended the above East Sussex County Council’s Order made on 20 May 2022 under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following footpath:
Temporary Footpath Closure
The whole of Public Footpath Bexhill 138 will be closed to all users between TQ 7091 0717 and TQ 7063 0693.
Unfortunately, an alternative route is not available.
The closure will be in force for 18 months from 1 June 2024, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier, which after this period will require an extension from the Secretary of State, should the footpath still be unavailable to use.

The East Sussex (U3020 Twyford Crescent, St Leonards-on-Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Twyford Crescent – for its entire length. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 17 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 17 and 18 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (A269 London Road, Bexhill) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
London Road – from the junction with A2690 Combe Valley Way to the junction with U6598 St Georges Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A2690 Combe Valley Way – A2691 Mount View Street – A2036 Wrestwood Road – A269 London Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 19 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 19 and 20 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C18 Rectory Hill, Brightling) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Rectory Hill – from the junction with C281 Hollingrove Hill to the junction with C280 Cackle Street. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C281 Hollingrove Hill, Hollingrove Lane – C280 Cackle Street and vice versa.
The Order commences 19 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 19 and 21 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C93 Sandrock Hill/Crowhurst Road, Crowhurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Sandrock Hill/Crowhurst Road – from the junction with P6660 Sampsons Lane to the junction with U6957 Swainham Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C93 Crowhurst Road – B2092 Queensway – A2690 Queensway – A2100 The Ridge West – Beauport Park roundabout – Battle Road – Hastings Road – C93 Telham Lane – Forewood Lane – Crowhurst Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 18 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 18 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6559 Wilton Road, Bexhill) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Wilton Road – from the junction with B2182 Marina to the junction with U6559 St Leonards Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2182 Marina, Sea Road – U6559 St Leonards Road.
The Order commences 4 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 4 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C18 Brightling Road, Brightling) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Brightling Road – from the junction with C18 Brightling Road to the junction with C212 Observatory Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C18 Brightling Road, Deer Park, Long Reach, The Street – C280 Cackle Street – B2096 Battle Road – C18 Brightling Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 3 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 3 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3159 Magdalen Road, St Leonards-on-Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Magdalen Road – from the junction with U3158 Blomfield Road to the junction with U3158 St Johns Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3158 Blomfield Road – U3157 Church Road – U3158 St Johns Road and vice versa. The Order commenced 12 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 6 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3136 Archery Road, St Leonards-on-Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2
To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Archery Road – outside 14 Archery Court. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3136 Archery Road – U3106 West Hill Road – U3110 Boscobel Road, Pevensey Road – U3135 Highlands Gardens – U3136 Archery Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 6 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 6 and 7 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C20 Ewhurst Lane, Northiam) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Ewhurst Lane – from the junction with U6839 Dixter Road to the junction with C979 Tufton Lane. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C979 Tufton Lane – C97 Ockford Lane – U6630 New Road – A28 Perryman Cross, Hastings Road, Main Street – U6839 Dixter Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 5 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 5 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3235 North Terrace, Hastings) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
North Terrace – from the junction with U3235 Richmond Street to the junction with U3235 Ann Street.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3235 North Terrace, Halton Place – C551 Priory Road – U3235 North Terrace and vice versa.
The Order commences 4 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 4 and 6 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3140 North Street, St Leonards-on-Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
North Street – from the junction with U3140 Union Street to the junction with A2102 London Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A2102 London Road – U3140 Shepherd Street, Gensing Road, Alfred Street, Union Street.
The Order commences 3 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 3 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6711 Jubilee Road, Bexhill) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Jubilee Road – from the junction with U6711 Pankhurst Rise to the junction with U7711 Southlands Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6711 Jubilee Road, Mount Idol View – A269 Ninfield Road -U6711 Southlands Road and vice versa.
The Order commenced 22 September 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 3 and 7 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C213 Ludpit Lane/Willards Hill, Robertsbridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Ludpit Lane/Willards Hill – from the junction of U6198 Fontridge Lane to the junction with C18 Brightling Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C213 Oxenbridge Lane – A265 High Street, Haremere Hill, Station Road – A21(T) London Road, Silverhill – C18 Northbridge Street, High Street, Station Road, Brightling Road and vice versa. The Order commences 31 May 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 31 May 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C18 Long Reach/The Street, Brightling) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Long Reach/The Street – from the junction with C18 Deer Park Road to the junction with C280 Cackle Street.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C18 Deer Park Road, Brightling Road – B2096 Woods Corner, Battle Road – C280 Cackle Street and vice versa.
The Order commences 31 May 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 09:30hrs to 15:30hrs on 31 May 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.
