Temporary Closure of The Bridge, Taunton
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along The Bridge - from the junction with Wood Street, southwards for a total distance of 137 metres. This Order will enable Walters to carry out phased bridge repair works on behalf of Somerset Council (as and when signed on site).
The Order becomes effective on 30th May 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 5th June 2024 and last until 6th July 2024 between the hours of 19:00 - 06:00 for a total of 31 nights.
