Mae Cyngor Sir Dinas a Sir Caerdydd, wrth arfer ei bwerau dan Adran 14(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd), a’r holl bwerau galluogi eraill, yn bwriadu, mewn dim llai na 7 niwrnod o ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn, wneud Gorchymyn a fydd yn atal pob cerbyd o unrhyw ddosbarth rhag defnyddio neu deithio ar hyd y darnau o ffordd a nodir yn yr Atodlen isod.

Mae’r Gorchymyn hwn yn ofynnol i atal y tebygolrwydd o berygl i’r cyhoedd a disgwylir iddo fod yn weithredol ar y dyddiadau a’r amseroedd a nodir yn yr Atodlen isod. Dim ond ar yr adegau ac i’r graddau a nodir ar arwyddion a/neu hysbysiadau a gaiff eu harddangos y bydd y cyfyngiad dan sylw ar waith. Bydd y Gorchymyn yn parhau ar waith am hyd at 18 mis. Enw’r Gorchymyn fydd “Gorchymyn Cyngor Sir Dinas a Sir Caerdydd (Digwyddiadau Stadiwm Principality, Caerdydd) (Cau Ffyrdd Dros Dro) 2024”.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC PROPOSAL THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY AND COUNTY OF CARDIFF (PRINCIPALITY STADIUM EVENTS, CARDIFF) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES) ORDER 2024

The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), and of all other enabling powers intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the general effect of which is to prevent vehicles of all classes from using or proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the Schedule below.

The Order is necessary to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public and is expected to be in operation on the dates and during the times specified in the below Schedule. The restriction specified will only have the effect at such times and to such extent as indicated by the display of signs and/or notices. The Order will remain in force for a maximum of 18 months.

The Order will be known as “The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff (Principality Stadium Events, Cardiff) (Temporary Road Closures) Order 2024”.

SCHEDULE
The following lengths of roads will be closed:

• Scott Road and Park Street throughout their lengths (Closed from 7:00am on the day of each event)
• Kingsway from its junction with North Road to its junction with Duke Street
• Cowbridge Road East from its junction with Cathedral Road to its junction with Westgate Street
• Tudor Street from its junction with Clare Road to its junction with Wood Street (access for residents and traders will be permitted via Fitzhammon Embankment)
• Plantagenet Street and Beauchamp Street from their junctions with Despenser Place to their junctions with Tudor Street (access for residents and traders will be permitted)
• Customhouse Street throughout its length (access to private car parks will be permitted)
• Penarth Road from its junction with Saunders Road to the entrance leading into the rear of the Central Train Station
• Caroline Street, Castle Street, Central Square, Duke Street, Golate, Green Street, Guildhall Place, Havelock Street, High Street, Quay Street, Saunders Road, St Mary Street, Wood Street, Westgate Street and Womanby Street throughout their lengths
• City Hall Road, College Road, Gorsedd Gardens Road, King Edward VII Avenue and Museum Avenue throughout their lengths (access may be permitted at the discretion of Cardiff Council Traffic Management Staff)

This is in order to facilitate the following events on the dates and during the times set out below:

Pink Concert
Between the hours of 2:00pm and midnight on Tuesday 11th June 2024
Taylor Swift Concert
Between the hours of 12:00pm and midnight on Tuesday 18th June 2024
Foo Fighters Concert
Between the hours of 2:00pm and midnight on Tuesday 25th June 2024
Monster Jam
Between the hours of 11:30am and 7:30pm on Saturday 6th July 2024
Billy Joel Concert
Between the hours of 4:00pm and midnight on Friday 9th August 2024

In the event that there are safety concerns, the roads referred to in this order may be closed for longer than specified above
