Portsmouth City Council (D-Day 80) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.70) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 2nd June 2024 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
CLARENCE ESPLANADE

From its junction with Clarence Pier Road to its junction with Jack Cockerill Way.
Duration:
From 08:00 on 2nd June 2024 to 23:59 on 4th June 2024.
From 19:00 on 6th June 2024 to 06:00 on 7th June 2024.
AVENUE DE CAEN
In its entirety.
Duration:
From 08:00 3rd June 2024 to 23:59 on 4th June 2024.
From 19:00 on 6th June 2024 to 06:00 on 7th June 2024.
DUISBURG WAY
In its entirety.

From its junction with Clarence Parade to its junction with Auckland Road West.

B) REVERSAL OF ONE WAY
AUCKLAND ROAD WEST

From its junction with Palmerston Road to its junction with Netley Terrace.
(No vehicle access onto Clarence Parade. Vehicle egress only via Netley Road).
Duration:
From 08:00 3rd June 2024 to 06:00 on 6th June 2024.
C) REVOKATION OF ONE WAY
AUCKLAND ROAD WEST

From its junction with Clarence Road to its junction with Netley Terrace.
(Access for parking only. No vehicle access onto Clarence Parade. Vehicle egress only via Netley Road).
Duration:
From 08:00 3rd June 2024 to 06:00 on 6th June 2024.
D) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
AUCKLAND ROAD WEST

From its junction with Clarence Parade for 20 metres north.
Duration:
From 08:00 3rd June 2024 to 06:00 on 6th June 2024.
VICTORIA AVENUE

In its entirety.
Duration:
From 08:00 3rd June 2024 to 06:00 on 6th June 2024.
PEMBROKE ROAD
(NORTH SIDE)
From its junction with Victoria Avenue to Pembroke Close.
Duration:
From 08:00 3rd June 2024 to 06:00 on 6th June 2024.
MUSEUM ROAD
(SOUTH SIDE)

From its junction with Kings Terrace to High Street.
Duration:
From 08:00 3rd June 2024 to 06:00 on 6th June 2024.
E) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate national barrier asset installation and removal and vehicle removal works.
F) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 08:00 on Sunday 2nd June 2024 to 06:00 on Friday 7th June 2024 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Notwithstanding the above, works will take place for each length of road between the dates and times indicated above for each length of road.
Notwithstanding the above, works will take place in sections as notified by signage in advance of works taking place.
Please see TTRO 69 2024 D-Day 80 for road closures and parking restrictions over the event period from 23:59 on Tuesday 4th June 2024 to 06:00 on Thursday 6th June 2024.
G) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Clarendon Road, Osborne Road, Portland Road, Kent Road, Southsea Terrace and Southsea Terrace, Kent Road, Portland Road, Osborne Road, Clarendon Road.
Pedestrian and cycle access will be diverted around the closures.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the event.
