CWMBWRLA WARD VARIOUS RESTRICTIONS NOTICE 2024

NOTICE: is hereby given that on 24th May 2024 The Council of the City and County of Swansea made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and of all other enabling powers. The order will be effective from 6th June 2024, as set out in the schedules below. A copy of the order and plan may be inspected during office hours at the Civic Centre, Oystermouth Road, Swansea, SA1 3SN. Any person wishing to challenge the validity of the order or procedures used in making this order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date the order was made.

SCHEDULE 1
REVOCATIONS
The existing Orders are revoked insofar as they are inconsistent with the proposals hereinafter contained which relate to the length or lengths of the road or roads referred to in the schedules hereto.

SCHEDULE 2
PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME CLARE STREET
On its northern side from its junction with the eastern kerbline of Zouch Street eastwards for a distance of 7.5 metres and from its junction with the western kerbline of Zouch Street westwards for a distance of 7.5 metres.

ZOUCH STREET
On both sides from its junction with the northern kerbline of Clare Street northwards for a distance of 7.5 metres.

MIDDLE ROAD
On its southern side from its junction with the eastern kerbline of Gwylym Street eastwards for a distance of 8.5 metres and from its junction with the western kerbline of Gwylym Street westwards for a distance of 7.5 metres.

GWYLYM STREET
On both sides from its junction with the southern kerbline of Middle Road southwards for a distance of 7.5 metres.

DAVID STREET
On its northern side from its junction with the eastern kerbline of Cae Rowland Street eastwards for a distance of 3 metres and from its junction with the western kerbline of Cae Rowland Street westwards for a distance of 22 metres.

CAE ROWLAND STREET
On its western side from its junction with the northern kerbline of David Street northwards for a distance of 10 metres and on its eastern side from its junction with the northern kerbline of David Street northwards for a distance of 7.5 metres.

PENFILIA ROAD
On its southern side from a point 4.5 metres west of the common boundary between numbers 131 and 132 Penfilia Road westwards for a distance of 8 metres (ie across the entrance to Weavers Bungalow)

MIDDLE ROAD
On its north western side from a point 34 metres south west of its junction with the south western kerbline of Stepney Street south westwards for a distance of 32 metres.

EATON ROAD
On its north eastern side from its junction with the northern kerbline of Pleasant Row north westwards for a distance of 13 metres.

PLEASANT ROW
On its northern side from its junction with the north eastern kerbline of Eaton Road eastwards for a distance of 11 metres and on its southern side from its junction with the north eastern kerbline of Eaton Road eastwards for a distance of 9 metres.

MIDDLE ROAD
On its southern side from its junction with the eastern kerbline of Phyllis Street eastwards for a distance of 7.5 metres and from its junction with the western kerbline of Phyllis Street westwards for a distance of 8.5 metres.

PHYLLIS STREET
On both sides from its junction with the southern kerbline of Middle Road southwards for a distance of 7.5 metres.

ELGIN STREET
On both sides from its junction with the north eastern kerbline of Pentregethin Road north eastwards for a distance of 10 metres.

PENTREGETHIN ROAD
On its north eastern side from a point 10 metres south east of its junction with the south eastern kerbline of Elgin Street north westwards to a point 46 metres north west of its junction with the north western kerbline of Elgin Street. On its south western side from a point in line with the projected common boundary of numbers 161 and 163 Pentregethin Road north westwards for a distance of 32 metres.

On its northern side from its junction with the Carmarthen Road roundabout give way lines generally westwards for a distance 35 metres and from a point 125 metres therefrom westwards for a distance of 30 metres and from a point 220 metres therefrom westwards for a distance of 70 metres and from a point 345 metres therefrom westwards for a distance of 20 metres and from a point 480 metres therefrom westwards for a distance of 45 metres and On its northern side from a point 15 metres north of the north western end of the railway bridge parapet wall generally north eastwards for a distance of 27 metres and from a point 80 metres therefrom eastwards for a distance of 35 metres and On its southern side from a point 440 metres west of its junction with the Carmarthen Road roundabout give way lines generally westwards for a distance 30 metres.

SCHEDULE 3
PROHIBITION OF WAITING MONDAY - SATURDAY 8.00AM TO 8.00PM MIDDLE ROAD
On its northern side from a point 66 metres west of its junction with the western kerb line of Stepney Street for a distance of 120 metres north west (ie along the frontage of numbers 20 - 64 Middle Road).

PLEASANT ROW
On its northern side from a point 60 metres east of its junction with the north eastern kerbline of Eaton Road eastwards around the turning head and on its southern side from a point of 9 metres from its junction with the north eastern kerbline of Eaton Road eastwards to its closed end.

SCHEDULE 4
PERMIT HOLDERS ONLY AT ANY TIME EWART PLACE
On its south eastern side from a point 30 metres north east of the north eastern kerbline of Spenser Street north eastwards for a distance of 30 metres (fronting properties No 1 to No 3 Ewart Place).

COURTNEY STREET
From a point 6 metres west of its junction with the western kerbline of Richard Street westwards for a distance of 21 metres (this revokes the 1 hour Limited Waiting for general motorists).

SCHEDULE 5
LIMITED WAITING ONE HOUR NO RETURN WITHIN 2 HOURS MONDAY TO SATURDAY 8.00AM - 6.00PM PERMIT HOLDERS EXEMPT VERIG STREET
On its west side from a point 35 metres north of its junction with the northern kerb line of Courtney Street for a distance of 30 metres north and from a point 100 metres north of that junction for a distance of 30 metres north. On its east side from a point 40 metres south of its junction with the southern kerb line of Robert Street for a distance of 30 metres south.

MILLWOOD STREET
On its east side from a point 23 metres north of its junction with the northern kerb line of Robert Street for a distance of 30 metres north and from a point 75 metres north of that junction for a distance of 18 metres north.

SYLVIA TERRACE
On its west side from a point 25 metres north of its junction with the northern kerb line of Sydney Street for a distance of 30 metres north.

CECIL STREET
On its west side from a point 10 metres south of its junction with the southern kerb line of Walters Street for a distance of 28 metres south and from a point 75 metres south of that junction for a distance of 30 metres south. On its east side from a point 40 metres south of its junction with the southern kerb line of Walters Street for a distance of 30 metres south.

SCHEDULE 6

On its southern side from a point 61 metres west of its junction with the west kerb line of Zouch Street for a distance of 7 metres west. (ie along the frontage of number 9 Walters Street).

83 MIDDLE ROAD
On its southern side from a point 161 metres east of its junction with the east kerb line of Beattie Street for a distance of 7 metres east (ie along the frontage of number 83 Middle Road).

14 SYDNEY STREET
On its southern side from a point 15 metres east of its junction with the projected eastern kerb line of Sylvia Terrace for a distance of 7 metres east (ie along the frontage of number 14 Sydney Street).

134 CECIL STREET
On its western side from a point 90 metres north of its junction with the north kerb line of Walters Street for distance of 7 metres north (ie along the frontage of number 134 Cecil Street).

PENNARD STREET - No waiting at Any Time
On its north eastern side from a point 24 metres northwest of its junction with the northern kerbline of Walters Street for a distance of 7 metres north west (reducing the length from 11 metres to 7 metres).

ST JOHNS ROAD - Disabled Persons Parking Place On its north western side from a point 5 metres south west of its junction with the projected north western kerb line of Manselton Road for a distance of 7 metres south west. (ie removing the bay from the frontage of number 56 St John Road).

SCHEDULE 8
ORDERS TO BE REVOKED
COURTNEY STREET - No waiting at Any Time
On its northern side from its junction with the eastern kerbline of Approach Road for a distance of 10 metres east.

33 HOPKIN STREET - Disabled Persons Parking Place On its northern side from a point 38 metres west its junction with the projected eastern kerb line of Miles Road for distance of 7 metres east. (ie along the frontage of number 33 Hopkin Street).
