Bracknell, Multiple Roads, Temporary Prohibitions Of Driving Due To Works On The Road
What is happening?
BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, BRACKNELL, BINFIELD & WARFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council has made an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following lengths of road:
a) B3034 Forest Road, Binfield,
Dependent upon works phasing, the diversion route for this closure will be:
via B3034 Forest Road, Terrace Road South, Popeswood Road, Temple Way, B3018 Binfield Road, Harvest Ride, Sopwith Road, Ellison Road and B3034 Forest Road, or this route reversed. Or,
B3034 Forest Road, Terrace Road North, B3018 Church Lane, B3034 Forest Road, or this route reversed.
b) A3095 Mill Lane, Bracknell, between the roundabout junction with A3095 Crowthorne Road (Hanworth roundabout) and its roundabout junction with Crowthorne Road (McDonalds Roundabout) for its whole length in both directions.
The diversion route for this closure will be via South Hill Road, A322 Bagshot Road, A322 Downshire Way, A3095 Mill Lane, or this route reversed.
c) B3018 Binfield Road, Bracknell, between the roundabout junction with Millennium Way (Western Roundabout) and the roundabout junction with Harvest Ride (Framptons Bridge roundabout) for its whole length in both directions.
The diversion route for this closure will be via B3018, Binfield Road, B3408 Wokingham Road, Temple Way, B3018 Binfield Road, or this route reversed.
Access will be maintained where possible for residents and businesses affected by this Order.
The purpose of this Order is to enable works to be executed on the road namely Gripfibre carriageway resurfacing works and associated preparatory patching work.
The proposed Order will come into operation on the 27th May 2024 and its maximum duration will be 18 months or until the completion of the works whichever shall be the earlier. It is currently anticipated that the resurfacing works on sites above will commence on 24th June 2024 for 2 weeks with preparatory patching works commencing on 28th May 2024 for 4 weeks.
This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are displayed in the road. Date - 29th May 2024
