Tanyard Way (D1095) Horley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 29 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tanyard Way (D1095) Horley which extends from the northern property boundary line of “21 Tanyard Way” to the southern property boundary line of “62 Tanyard Way”.
Alternative Route – Fallowfield Way (D1095), Wheatfield Way (D1095) and Langshott (D336) or the same route in reverse. This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 03 June 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Pixham Lane (B2038) Dorking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 29 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Pixham Lane (B2038) Dorking that is crossed under the bridge known as “Pixham Lane (248 RSJ)” and for a distance of 20 metres either side. Alternative Route: (B2038) Pixham Lane, (A25) Reigate Road, (A24) Deepdene Avenue, (A24) London Road, and (B2038) Pixham Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to carry out bridge inspection works for, or on behalf of Network Rail. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night, between 10pm and 6am, during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 June 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Reigate Road (B2033) Leatherhead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 29 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Reigate Road (B2033) Leatherhead as extends from its junction at the roundabout with (A24) By-pass Road to its junction with (B2033) Mill Way. Alternative Route: (A24) By-pass Road, (A24) Dorking Road, (A24) London Road, (A24) Mickleham By-pass, (A24) London Road, (A24) Deepdene Avenue, (A25) Reigate Road, (B2032) Station Road, (A2032) Pebble Hill Road, (B2033) Headley Common Road, (B2033) Tot Hill, (B2033) Leech Lane, and Mill Way, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate tree felling works for, or on behalf of J and G Traffic Ltd.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 11 June 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Boterys Cross (D390) Bletchingley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 29 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Boterys Cross (D390) Bletchingley. This Order is required to facilitate replacement telegraph pole works for, or on behalf of I and A Communications. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 14 June 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.
Clacket Lane (C80) Westerham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 29 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Clacket Lane (C80) Westerham. Alternative Route: Pilgrims Lane, (B2024) Clarks Lane, (B2024) Croydon Road, (A25) High Street, and (A25) Westerham Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate improvement and repair investigation works for, or on behalf of Milestone Infrastructure. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 11 June 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. No sole access is affected by this closure.
Westway (D1399) Caterham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 29 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Westway (D1399) Caterham as extends from its junction with (D1397) Coulsdon Road to its junction with (D1398) Livingstone Road. Alternative Route: Westway, (B2031) Chaldon Road, and Coulsdon Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate installation of telecom utility works for, or on behalf of TSE Group. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 June 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

B290 Epsom Lane North, Epsom Downs Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 29 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of B290 Epsom Lane North, Epsom Downs which extends from its junction with Tattenham Crescent to its junction with Kingswood Road. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway slurry works and/ or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 3 June 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. D310 Wonham Lane, Betchworth Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 29 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D310 Wonham Lane, Betchworth. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 3 June 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. On 29 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D2510 Merrylands Road, Bookham. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway reconstruction works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 3 June 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tollgate Road (D2829) Dorking as extends from its junction with (A2003) Flint Hill to its junction with (X14074) Martineau Drive. Alternative Route: Tollgate Road, Claygate Road, Stubs Hill, Goodwyns Road, and (A2003) Flint Hill, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate telecom utility works for, or on behalf of Centercomms Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 June 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Smallfield Road (C66) Horley and Smallfield Road (C66) Smallfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of; (a) Smallfield Road (C66) Horley; and (b) the entire length of Smallfield Road (C66) Smallfield. Alternative Route: Weatherhill Road, Redehall Road, (B2037) Effingham Road, (B2037) Keepers Corner, (B2037) Antlands Lane, and (B2036) Balcombe Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 weeks, between the hours of 7.00am and 6pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 24 June 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
St Matthews Road (A25) Redhill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of St Matthews Road (A25) Redhill as extends from its junction with (A25) Station Road to its junction with the access to the property known as “The Belfry Car Park”. Alternative Route: (1) (A25) Station Road, (A25) Queensway, (A25) London Road, (A23) Princess Way, (A23) Brighton Road, (A25) High Street, and (A25) Cromwell Road or this route in reverse; (2) (A25) Station Road, take 4th exit back onto (A25) Station Road. This Order is required to facilitate mobile crane works for, or on behalf of Think Lifting Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 8 days between 6.30am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 30 June 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Tilley Lane (C56) Headley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024 Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tilley Lane (C56) Headley which extends from its junction with Lee Green Lane (D315) to its junction with Clay Lane (C55). Alternative Route – Lee Green Lane (D315) and Clay Lane (C55) or the same route in reverse. This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 June 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
C224 Frenches Road, Redhill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Hurst Green Road (D424) Oxted Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hurst Green Road (D424) Oxted which extends from the northwestern property boundary line of “Woodcote”, No. 2 Hurst Green Road to the northeastern property boundary line of No. 25 Hurst Green Road. Public Footpath 337 (Charlwood) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 23 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath 337 (Charlwood) which extends for 820 metres in an easterly and then south-easterly direction from its junction with Norwoodhill Road (Grid ref: 524687 142906) to its junction with Public Footpath 339 (Charlwood).
The Order is necessary on the grounds of public safety due to a bridge in disrepair.
The closure will be in operation for a period of 2 months from 30 May 2024 until 31 July 2024, or until completion of the works, if earlier.
That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
There is no recommended alternative route.
