TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024
ASPLEY ROAD, BEDFORD 24 - 015
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Aspley Road Bedford.
This temporary road closure is required to facilitate carriageway patching and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 15:30 hours from 12th June 2024 to 13th June 2024 The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Ampthill Road, Victoria Road, Endsleigh Road.
The reverse route applies.

STAPLOE LANE, STAPLOE 24 - 038
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the length of Staploe Lane Staploe outside 26.
This temporary road closure is required to facilitate new water supply and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 18:00 hours from 3rd June 2024 to 5th June 2024 The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Staploe Lane, Gypsy Lane, Bushmead Road, Shakers Way.
The reverse route applies.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Ombersley Road Bedford.
This temporary road closure is required to facilitate carriageway patching and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 15:00 hours from 11th June 2024 to 12th June 2024 The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Endsleigh Road, Aspley Road, Ampthill Road.
The reverse route applies.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Ampthill Road Kempston.
This temporary road closure is required to facilitate bridge inspection and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 22:00 to 06:00 hours from 25th June 2024 to 28th June 2024
The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Ampthill Road, Manor Road, Woburn Road, The Branston Way, St Johns Street, Bedford Road, Kempston Road, Britannia Road.
The reverse route applies.
The proposed Order will come into operation on 25th June 2024, for a period of 12 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. This temporary road closure is required to facilitate carriageway re surfacing and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 18:00 hours from 28th June 2024 to 5th July 2024 The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Cornland, Queens Drive, Mount Drive.
The reverse route applies.

EFFECT OF THIS NOTICE: To temporarily suspend the one way restriction on Cornland as detailed,
The temporary one way restriction is scheduled to commence on 28th June 2024 it is estimated to be completed on 5th July 2024, and is required for the safety of the public and workforce while Bedford Borough Council undertakes carriageway re surfacing on Barley Way Bedford please check one.network for the most up to date information on the duration of the closure.
Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate a new electrical supply and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 24th June 2024 to 28th June 2024
The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Keeley Lane, Hall End Road, Zuc69 From 50 Church Road Uc72 To Uc67 Wood End Road.

BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS WITHIN THE PARISH OF HARROLD)
(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING) ORDER 2014 (AMENDMENT NO.2) (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 16th May 2024 Bedford Borough Council made an Experimental Order under Sections 9 and 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as follows:
Effect of the Experimental Order:
- To introduce ‘No waiting at any time’ restrictions (double primrose coloured lines) on the following lengths of road:
A Mansion Lane, Harrold
(i) On its south-eastern kerb, extending from its south-western end for a distance of approx. 18 metres in a north-easterly direction.
B High Street, Harrold
(i) On its eastern kerb, extending from a point approx. 6 metres south of the projected north-eastern boundary of property no. 87a for a distance of approx. 26 metres in a north-easterly direction.
Reason for the Experimental Order: To address inconsiderate parking at the end of Mansion Lane and in the High Street opposite its junction with Mansion Lane.
The Experimental Order will be in force for up to eighteen months. Bedford Borough Council will monitor the effectiveness of this trial while it is in operation, then make a decision in due course on whether it should continue indefinitely.
Date of Operation: The Experimental Order will come into force on 20th May 2024 or as soon as practicable after this date.
A copy of this Notice, the Experimental Order and a Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be examined during normal office hours at Borough Hall, Cauldwell Street, Bedford, MK42 9AP. These documents can also be viewed on our website at www.bedford.gov.uk/proposedtro, and will be placed on deposit for the duration of the Order. Comments supporting or objecting to the Experimental Order: The Experimental Order will remain in force for up to 18 months. Before its effects can be continued beyond that, all comments lodged during the first six months that the Experimental Order is in operation will be considered. Any comments should be put in writing, stating the grounds on which they are made, and posted to Highway Consultations, Bedford Borough Council, Room 436, Borough Hall, Cauldwell Street, Bedford, MK42 9AP, or sent via email to highway.consultations@bedford.gov.uk, to reach us no later than 16th November 2024.
