Blackpool, St Annes Rd/Watson Road -Temporary Prohibition of Traffic - to allow for the inspection of the bridge.
What is happening?
THE BOROUGH OF BLACKPOOL
(ST ANNES ROAD/WATSON ROAD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 29th May 2024 the Blackpool Borough Council made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers to allow for an inspection of the bridge. The effect of the Order will be to:
Phase 1
a) Prohibit any vehicle from entering or proceeding in any direction along the length of Watson Road between a point on Watson Road which is approximately 30 metres west of its junction with St Annes Road and its junction with St Annes Road.
b) The prohibition is presently programmed to be applied on 11th June 2024 for 2 days.
Phase 2
a) Prohibit any vehicle from entering or proceeding in any direction along the length of Watson Road between a point on Watson Road which is approximately 30 metres west of its junction with St Annes Road and its junction with St Annes Road.
b) The prohibition is presently programmed to be applied on 24th June 2024 for 5 days.
Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained at all times.
Vehicular access to premises will be maintained.
All diversion routes will be clearly signed and maintained on site.
The proposed Order will commence on 11th June 2024 and will continue in force for eighteen months or until the sooner completion of the aforesaid works. It is expected that the works will take 7 days.
