Bolton Road - Temporary Road Closure For Works

What is happening?

The Council of the City of Salford intends to make in no less than 7 days the Salford City Council (A666 Bolton Road) (Temporary Road Closure) 2024 under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The Order will close A666 Bolton Road, between Irlams o’ th’ Height roundabout and junction of Hospital Road 7:00pm to 6:00am.

The Diversions are set out below.

The road closures are required as part of SBNI bus lane scheme on A666 south.

The Order is due to come into operation on the 1 July 2024 and shall continue in force until 19 August 2024 provided that if the council determines that the order is no longer necessary in relation to the works then this order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

The exact dates of when each phase of the closures will take place has not been confirmed yet. This information will be shared closer to the start of the works via our comms team.

A copy of the Order and a plan of the area may be examined at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm to Fri inclusive.

Irlams o’ the’ Height roundabout - A6 Manchester Road - A6 Chorley Road - Pendlebury Road - A666 Bolton Road.
